Chapter Five

The next morning Haley woke me up early. 'What?' I asked as she shook me awake. 'I realized something important.' She said as I got out of bed. 'What's up?' I asked I manage to get dressed without waking the others. 'When the dogs freaked out last night, Lily was barking and growling at the stage around Freddy, where you said you saw that suit, Shadow was barking at pirates cove where Antony said he heard a voice.' She said ' I want to have two of us go to the pizzeria and see if anything would have triggered them. The other two can go to the library and try and find anything that would explain what you and Antony experienced.' she continued. 'Sounds like a plan.' I said as we walked to the kitchen to continue talking without waking the others. 'So we have some work ahead of us today. Me and Yajaira are going to look around the pizzeria to see if anything would have triggered the dogs. Haley and Antony are going to the library to see if anything would have caused what me and Antony experienced.' I explained the plan for the day. 'We'll meet up half way, at the park to show what we found.' Haley added. 'If me and Yajaira find anything we'll take pictures. Haley and Antony will just bring what they find to the park.' I said as I throwing the keys to Haley. Once me and Yajaira got to the pizzeria, we separated to cover more ground. I started in the back office and walked through the hallway when I noticed something on the floor and where the floor and wall met. It was like a red stain on the dark carpet and light walls. 'Yajaira come here' I called as I
crouched down to examine the stain closer. 'What you need?' Yajaira asked. 'There's a weird red stain but it can't be red paint that was splattered because nothing here is painted red. I have no clue what it could be but it could be a clue right?' I asked. Yajaira agreed with me as I took a picture of the stains. 'What y'all find?' Haley asked once we all met back up at the park. 'Yea. Look, this stain was in the hallway. It was red which is what threw me off, nothing in the hallway is red so the stain is out of place.' I said showing the picture I took. 'We might be able to explain it. Look at this old newspaper.' Haley said pointing to the newspaper she mentioned. The headline read, ' Five children murdered in a local pizzeria.' with Freddy's pizzeria in the picture under it. It also explained that the murder wasn't ever found and neither was the bodies of the five children. 'Maybe it's a cold case?' Yajaira said in a confused tone. 'Maybe we should call Shanieya, her dad worked on the investigation, she may be able to help us.' Antony said looking towards me. 'Good idea Ant.' Haley said as I pulled my phone out dialing Shanieya's number.
