***Lily***
A heavy sigh left my mouth once he left. I wanted to cry. I wanted my dad to hold me. I wanted to go back to being 6 again and playing with my siblings.

Things were so much easier when I was young.

***Lucas***
I sighed. I didn't want to hurt Lily. I didn't want to go along with Kevin's plan. Maybe I won't have to anymore now that he's dead.

I shook my head. If I don't go through with the plan then Julian will kill me.

Julian is, or was, Kevin's best friend. He is a trained assassin who was left in charge to execute the plan should Kevin die.

And I'll need all the luck in the world to avoid him if I don't go through with everything.

***Lily***
I woke up to shouting. I groggily rubbed my eyes and yawned. Curious, I got out of bed and walked down the hallway. I stopped when I saw Marcus punching the wall. He was panting and looked like he was crying.

"M-marcus?"

He looked up, eyes blazing. He looked ready to kill. It honestly scared me a little bit.

"Lily, go back to bed."

I shook my head. I was not going to leave him here. Especially when he was mad and dangerous.

I put my hand on his arm to try to calm him down. His head snapped up and he gritted his teeth.

"I said. Go. Back. To. Bed." He hissed.

I took a step back in fear. He had never talked to me like that. He was always nice and outgoing. Kind. He was acting like Kevin a little.

I turned to run, only to slam into my mom. She put a hand on my shoulder.

"Lily, babygirl. You need to go to your room. It's not safe here right now."

I shook my head, close to tears.

I didn't want to go. I wanted to help.

My mother's grip on my shoulder tightened, and so did her jaw.

"Go to bed Lily. Go to your room. Now. As queen that is an order."

I had to submit. I wasn't yet queen, so I had to listen. I silently went back to my room, heart racing and legs weak.

I couldn't breath. I couldn't see.

I blacked out.
