Blue

My mother combed my hair the day of the masking. I looked into the mirror in my room. I was in a simple white dress that had small Ruffles on the bottom. My black hair tied back into a loose ballerina knot on top of my head. Loose strands fell down into my face.
When we got to the masking ceremony it was quiet
We sat and waited for my name to be called. I saw my friends also waiting. They finally called me I followed a tall women down a long hallway.
"Go in there" her voice was low and she didn't smile.
"Okay" I walked in
The masking process is simple. I just had to sit there. So how long I could sit there I guess.

I looked around the room no windows only one door. How hard could this be?

I laid back on the ground and waited for them to tell me I could come out. I closed my eyes and then I could hear them. People screaming for help.

I sat up, "Hey are you hurt." My words were met with crying.

"So you need help?" Again crying. I stood up and walked to one side of the room. "Can you hear me?" I said almost yelling. This doesn't make sense. The room they took me to was the only room in the area. Who could this be? "You're not real are you? You're just a recording I bet, a recording of the past people in this room." Crying. I rolled my eyes and sat on the ground again. Whatever I will be done soon. I bet they just got exactly what they needed.
