I'm running through the woods muts with heads of dogs, eyes like snakes, body like a lion- wait, you probably don't know what I'm talking about, or you don't know what leads up to this. Well I guess I'll start from the beginning. My name is Alexander Mayson. I'm from District 4, you know the district that fishes all day. There's just sea, beaches, homes, shops and the Justice Hall. No woods, crops, or grass fields. I'm not complaining about it, I know how to swim, set up boats, CPR, and other health things. I have light blond colored curly hair, tan skin, dark blue eyes and lightly sprinkled with freckles.

I was 17 years old when I was picked to be in the games. My birthday is the day the games begin so I turned 18 on the day my journey began. When I heard my name coming out of his mouth I knew I wasn't going with out a fight I walked up to the stage ,after taking my friends arms off of me, I don't know the female tribute all I know is that she's at lest a couple years younger then me. I pass her in the halls when we switch classes or go to lunch or out side to relax from the long days of classes.

We shake hands with each other then walk to the separate rooms for good byes and last minute hugs and gifts. I got a lot of hugs and kisses on the cheeks from friends and family, then parents that I've never seen came in about 3-5 minutes before I have to leave.
"Please watch over our daughter!" the woman begged,"Make sure she gets to the last 5 at least!"
"You must be her mother." I say more to clear things up.
"Yes, just please make sure she doesn't die in vain!" she cry.
"I will try, that's the best I can do." I replay to keep their minds at peace.
"Thank you" said the Father before excluding his wife out.

I stay standing knowing I'll have to leave in about two minutes. My back is turned away from the door, so when I heard the door open I expect a Peace Keeper but I see a girl holding something out to me. When I take a step forward I get a better look at it and I see it's a little black plastic flower hair pin. I take a few more steps to her and she takes the pin and puts it in my hair before I can see what flower it is. I look at her face, she has light blue eyes that sparkle in the dimly lit room. She had dark freckles that dotted her cheeks and long black hair, she was pretty cute if I'm being honest but not really my type.
"Thank you." I say not really knowing what to say in this situation.
"Please keep this for the game."
"I will." I say, she nods then walk out of the room.

'Why was she here? I don't even know her.' I thought when a Peace Keeper walks in and says it's time to go. So I fallow him to the train station where I meet back up with the other tribute. Her name started with an L I think. I wasn't really paying attention I was looking at my friends and family out in the crowd, thinking about what to tell them before I leave them, for probably ever. She was crying little tears where falling down her cheeks. I hate to admit it but it only made me want to protect her even more.

We nod to each other when we see each other and stand side by side. Now I'm a average height for my age, but I towered over this poor girl. She's about 5'0(150.4cm) I was like 5'10(155.448cm) she's hecka small, witch is kinda like a advantage but not at the same time. She's smaller and harder to hit target, but she's probably not as fast as someone with longer legs if she decides to run away from a fight. The moment I saw her when she was crying and finding that she's smaller then me I knew I had to protect her, I will do my best to keep her alive even if that means I have to die.

We stepped onto the train and waved to the cameras as the doors closed. Then we look at each other and she started to giggle.
"What? We're being sent to our deaths! This shouldn't be a laughing matter!" I say not knowing how someone could laugh at a time like this.
"Your hair!" She says in between her giggles.

That's when I remember the plastic flower I have in my hair. I take it out and see it's a black rose, it had beautiful details. Then I looked back up at the girl and took in her fetters. She had dark blond straight hair that's in a half bun half down hairstyle with her bangs surrounding her face. She had a small flower necklace with.... a black rose? When she opened her eyes she had beautiful light brown eyes, with small freckles in them. She had little pearl earrings.
"Some one gave it to me." I say after I get knocked out of my thoughts.
"Was it your giwlfwend?" She said teasingly.
"I don't have one and will probably never have one." I say sternly.
She she stopped laughing and looked away.
