Max's mother went into PTSD, post traumatic (stress) depression, shortly after Max's death. The symptoms were so severe that Max's mother committed suicide.
It took nothing but a month without her daughter for Max's mother to kill herself. She was found hung from a tree in her back yard which happened to be the tree Max built her tree house in and the first tree Max ever climbed.
In her mothers hand, police found a small swiss army blade covered in blood. With further examination, cuts were found on the back of Max's mothers legs and neck. She had carved Max's life into her skin just before hanging herself on what held some of Max's greatest, happiest memories.
Those memories now nightmares.
