I whipped my head back trying to find the owner of the voice , back then if you had told me what would happen upon this faithful day i would imagine that i was crazy .

" そうですよ 。"
" Sodesu yo 。"

I responded without much of a thought as I gazed upon a golden shine in his eyes , ' what an eye-catching colour  ' i thought to myself though i have never really noticed till now .

how specific of me ,

" 傘をシェアしませんか？ あなたは持っているようには見えません "
" Kasa o shea shimasen ka? Anata wa motte iru yō ni wa miemasen "

was what the beauty in front of me asked , i shook my head in agreement even though we both knew i held an umbrella , we both knew what he meant

i couldn't help but graze my hand against his , before feeling my hand like it was catch in a trickery , his resting perfectly against mine .

'what a cheesy confession' i couldn't help but chuckle at the thought , 'maybe the bad weather was a good thing'

Explanation ;
相合傘 has a strong romantic implication, stemming in part from a play on words. The first two characters are pronounced あい (ai), the same as the word 愛あい (ai, “love”), and thus the connotation is that both people under the umbrella are in love.
