~Delilah~
Oh crap, Nate’s here. I quickly turned around and walked away with my head down.
“Oof” I grunted as I bumped into someone.
“Perfect, I was just looking for you. Delilah Montgomery, right?” a counselor named Margaret smiled down at me.
“The one and only” I said dryly.
“Come with me.You’re supposed to have a job to help pay for the tuition” I followed her to the counselor cabins.
Great, I bet I’m the only kid who has to work at camp in order to afford it.
“There’s one other person who’s working. A nice young man” she said, almost as if she was reading my mind. “Quite a looker too” she whispered.
I raised an eyebrow as we climbed the steps to the cabin. I stopped in my tracks. No, not possible. There’s no way. Standing in the doorway was the school’s bad boy, the motorcycle rider, the boy everyone stays away from; Zayn Harper.
“Sweetie, you coming?” Margaret asked from the top stair. I nodded and ran the rest of the way up.
“Zayn this is Delilah. Delilah, Zayn” Margaret smiled at us both.
Zayn’s eyes widen and he spit his water out, “Delilah Montgomery?!”
“No, I’m Harry Styles” I rolled my eyes.
“I’m going to go get your work folders, you two get acquainted” Margaret announced before walking away.
“What are you doing here?” Zayn asked angrily.
“I’m throwing a party. What does it look like I’m doing?!” I snapped.
“Of course Little Miss Perfect is going to volunteer to work at her summer camp”
“Trust me, Mr.Cool, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have to”
“As if. Let me guess, looks good on the college resume?”
“You don’t know anything about me” I growled.
“I know enough”
“Just stop!” I screamed, throwing my fist at him. He skillfully caught my punch and threw it down.
“Word of advice, don’t mess with me” he hissed just as Margaret appeared again.
