During the rest of the day, I slept a lot and I did the campus tour with Gen. It was huge and to be honest, I knew that getting lost would become a habit. Even in my high school, which was really small I have get lost a million times.
When the evening came Gen proposed me to come to a sleepover, she did to one of her friend's room. But I could barely keep my eyes opened so, I declined her proposition.
When the next day came, I couldn't be more nervous. I felt like I was going to play my future on this meeting (to be honest, I played my future on this meeting). The "sidekicks" meeting was organized in the purple cafeteria.
For some reasons I ignored, I tried to get dress well. I was wearing a denim short, and a large t-shirt with pictures of flowers on it. I did not think that outfit was really cool, but Iris always told me that it gave me a cool vibe. And even Gen, who has a totally different style from mine, said that my outfit was "bitchin'".
I was totally alone in the cafeteria because Gen had her sidekick since September. My hands were shaking, my heart was beating way too fast.
-Are you Tara Baker?
I turned around and saw a middle-sized guy. He had the biggest smile on his face and seemed really exited about this day. To be honest, I kind of hope that he was Eden.
-I am, I said. Are you Eden?
-No, I'm sorry I am Billy, the sidekick of the sidekicks.
-Wow that's badass, I joked.He laughed.
-You seem to be relaxed that's really good, most of the students are hella nervous coming here. Great to see that you are a tough girl.
I laughed nervously. I was so not a tough person, too sensitive for that.
-So, he said, Eden is over here you can join him.
He pointed the corner of the cafeteria where a guy all dressed of black was sitting alone on a chair, writing on something that appeared to be a notebook.
-Thanks, I said to Billy. See you later.
-See you later, Tate.
I stared at him how did he know... Gen. She must be one of his friends.
I started walking towards Eden, still shaking and nervous. A weird vibe was coming out of him, like a warm intimate atmosphere that made me uncomfortable.
-Hey, are you Eden?
He looked up and stared at me straight in the eyes.
Damn he was beautiful. Usually, I often think persons are cute because I am good at finding beauty in everyone. But he is really gorgeous. He has curly brown hair, with golden reflect in it. A tiny nose, with rosy cheeks, which is way too cute. He has deep brown eyes, which by just looking at them, I feel like he is reading into my soul. He is quite tall and not really muscular but the way he is behaving gives power and strength to his movements.
The. Most. Georgous. Person. I. have. Met.
I was already nervous to meet him but at this point, I felt like I was going to faint of anxiety. Thank god, I tried to dress well, I almost came with a white t-shirt and black pants.
-I am, he said.
His voice was really deep, not the kind that is warm and welcoming but the kind that intimidates you.
-Hum I...it's a, well, a pleasure to meet you, I said stuttering.
He stared at me with a corner smile.
-Don't worry about stuttering, I do that to every girl.
I sniggered thinking that was ironic, but he kept a straight face.
-What, he asked. This is the truth. You rather me acting being "oh my god no girls flirt with me", damn I don't want to base our relationship on a lie.
That was my turn to stare at him puzzled. What the hell? Suddenly, he was not that handsome. He seemed to be a jerk even though I met him 2 minutes ago.
-No, you're right lying sucks, I said hesitating. Whatever, where do we start for the week.
He stood up and walked towards the table just next to me.
-Ice-breaker challenge, first. God, they really think this is useful. I mean we don't need an ice breaker because it was already hot between us the moment you stared at me.
-Gosh you sound like a slob.
-A sexy slob, he said winkling to me.
I lifted one's eyes to the heavens.
He sat on the table and I sit on the chair where he used to sit on.
-First, he said, the debate first than our personal information. That's weird, why the hell do we do the debate first? That's bullshit.
I disagreed with him, but I was too scared to say it. Then I remembered to stand for myself.
-No, I said, that sounds logical to me. Information is just a list of stuff about you, your opinion they build you. So, I agree with their choice, let's start a debate.
His turn to lift one's eyes to the heavens.
-What?
-Nothing, he said still having this corner smile. You seem cheesy that's all.
-And?
-I can't stand cheesy persons, especially not cheesy girls. Sound stupid to me.
-Oh my god!
I started to get mad, he was annoying. I met him 5 minutes he already thought he was superior to me.
-You know what, Eden? You were wrong, I didn't stutter because you were hot or whatsoever. I did it because you looked like an asshole and I can't stand them. Especially not the guys. Sound stupid to me.
He kept smiling and he looked satisfied of seeing me being upset.
-Stop smiling you look like an idiot, I said sharply.-You can't stand me?
-No I don't, I just met you and you already think you can use me and make me play your game, but I won't. I am not like that.-You won't get into my game?
-Nope.
-First debate, he said, "debate with your partner about choosing to put the debates before the personal information". Well, Tate, you kind of get into my game there.
Oh. My. God. I was pissed, I know it sounds child-ish and ridiculous but having a person in front of you who thinks he is better than you, is the most annoying thing, isn't it?
Little did I know, how annoyingly important he was going to be in my life...
*I never thanked the persons who read my book, thank you so much. I know you are just a few so i may sound ridiculous and dumb, but i really appreicate you reading it. This book is so dear to my heart. If you could vote or comment, it'd mean the world to me. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of the day. -Fau'-*
