Chapter 30

POV Maddie

We were now getting off the plane and it turns out this is what Liam has been planing and is my birthday present from him.

Once we get off we make our way to baggage claim and there is luckily no screaming girls.

We get out bags and then make our way to the front of the airport and I am still in shock that I am actually here in Amsterdam.

Liam gets us a taxi and tells him the address and we start to drive.

We then arrive at the destination and it looks like the centre of Amsterdam. Liam pays the taxi fare and I get out luggage out. Liam then thanks the taxi driver and he drives off. "Alright here we are" Liam says.

We then walk up some stairs to the front door and Liam knocks on it. I hear footsteps from behind the door and it soon swings open to reveal my grandmother, Martha. "Oh Maddie, it's so good to see you!" She exclaims and then pulls me into a hug.

"It's great to see you too" I say "where grandpa?"

"He's watching TV, please come inside" she says, and moves to the side so Liam and I can get in "Edgar come, Maddie and her boyfriend Liam are here" I hear her say from the next room. Then my grandfather appears from around the corner

"Grandpa!" I exclaim and wrap him in a hug.

"It's great to see you again Maddie" he says.

"Grandma, grandpa, this is my boyfriend Liam" I say.

"Hello Liam, my name is Edgar" my grandpa says and shakes his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you" Liam says.

"And my name is Martha" my grandma says.

"It's great to meet you" Liam says.

"Alright, let me give you a tour of the house" grandma says.

After the tour of the house Liam and I made our way to the room where we are staying to unpack our things.

Once we finished unpacking we made our way downstairs to where my grandpa was watching TV. We then sat on the couch that was next to my grandpa's and started to watch some Dutch TV.

"Alright, dinner is ready!" Grandma yells from the kitchen.

After we all finished our dinner and cleaned the dishes Martha and Edgar decided they wanted to go to bed. "Goodnight grandma and grandpa" I say.

"Goodnight sweetie" grandma replies. "Night Liam" she adds.

"Goodnight Mr and Mrs Vandyke" Liam says.

"How many times have we told you boy, call us Edgar and Martha'" my grandpa exclaims.

"Okay, goodnight Edgar and Martha" Liam says.

They then headed down the hall to where their bedroom was and left Liam and I. "Do you wanna watch TV in our room?" I suggest and he nods.

We then make our way upstairs to our room. Once we get their we change into our pyjamas and lay down in the bed and turn the television on. "What should we watch?" Liam asks and I shrug. He then decides on two and a half men and we lay together quietly watching the show and I had my head resting on his chest and he has his arm wrapped around my body.

After the episode finished Liam and I decided we were tired so we turned the TV off and went to sleep. Liam then grabbed my body and pulled me closer to him so we were now spooning. I let a light chuckle leave my mouth and then closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
