Chapter 34

POV Maddie

I woke up the next day and could hear a muffled voice through the walls. I then got out of bed and walked into the kitchen to see Mackenzie on the phone and pacing around the kitchen.

I then took a seat on one of the stools and waited for her to finish. She then took the phone away from her ear and placed it back into her pocket and faced me. "Morning" she said.

"Good morning, who were you talking to?" I ask.

"Patrick. Him and Zoey are coming over for the day" she says and I nod in return.

Afterwards I made Mackenzie and I some toast with Nutella and straight after I heard the doorbell ring. I made my way to the door and opened it to reveal Patrick and Zoey. "Hey" Patrick says and wraps me in a quick hug and then makes his way past me and to the kitchen.

"Hi Zoey" I say and wrap her in a quick hug like Patrick did to me. We then walked into the kitchen and saw Patrick and Mackenzie talking.

"What should we do today?" Patrick asks.

"I reckon we should watch movies all day and order pizza" I suggest and everybody agrees.

"Alright I'll order the pizza" Mackenzie says and takes her phone out of her pocket and disappears into the next room.

"What movie first?" Zoey asks.

"What about Marley and me?" I suggest.

"That movie makes me sad" Patrick says.

"Same" Zoey adds.

"But I kinda wanna watch it" Patrick says.

"Yeah" Zoey agrees.

"Alright, I'll get the movie" I say and go to the next room to get the movie from the shelf. Zoey and Patrick then follow me into the room and take a seat on the couch while I put the movie in the DVD player.

"I ordered the pizza, what are we watching?" Mackenzie says, entering the room and taking a seat on the other couch.

"Marley and me" Zoey answers.

"Good movie, but makes me sad" Mackenzie replies. The movie then starts to play and I take a seat on the same couch as Mackenzie.

The film is now about halfway through and I suddenly hear the doorbell ring. "I'll get it" I say and stand up from the couch and make my way to the front door and open it to reveal the pizza man. "Hello" I say.

"Hi" he says handing me 4 boxes of pizza "that'll be £24.30" I put down the pizza boxes onto the ground and pull out my purse from my pocket and give him the money. "Have a goodnight" he says.

"You too" I reply and close the door. I then pick up the pizza boxes and walk into the living room, where they are watching the movie. "Help yourself" I say and place the boxes on the table.

The movie continues to play as we all grabbed a box of pizza each. We then continued to watch the rest of the movie and when the end credits started to roll everyone had tears running down their faces.

We then placed the next movie in the DVD player and we continued to do this.

It was now 1am and everyone was really tired and we were now watching click. "Adam Sandler is hilarious" Patrick says and everyone agrees.

My eyes were now beginning to get drowsy and I couldn't keep them open any longer and I soon felt myself drifting to sleep on the couch.
