Izuku woke up to his alarm clock ringing. 6:30am. He groaned before dragging himself out from his warm covers. His skin was coated with goosebumps due to the exposure to the cold air. He started getting changed into his school uniform.
Izuku staggered into the bathroom to try to fix his bed hair, which was a hopeless task as always. He pulled at his shirt collar, looking at the mark which still lay prominent on Izuku's neck. Kirishima's had disappeared in only a day or two, but of course, Katsuki had to create inconvenience.
Izuku smiled as he thought about last night. After years of complicated emotions shared between the two, everything seemed so clear now. Izuku finally knew what he wanted, and he had it. Katsuki was his and Izuku was Katsuki's, and nothing felt more right.
Izuku then thought about his classmates. How would they react to all of this? He knew how often he and Katsuki would be at each other's throats in front of them all. It'd be shocking to suddenly discover that they were dating. However, they'd have to tell them sooner or later. There was no way in hell Izuku was going to hold himself back by keeping it a secret. He'd already being doing so for long enough.
With that last thought, Izuku slipped on his red boots with a lazy yawn and left his dorm room, making his way to the classroom.
When he arrived, he pushed open the door to find everyone staring at him, jaws wide open. Fuck.
"Hey guys..?" Izuku scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. He could already assume what was going on.
"Is it true?!" Kaminari interrogated.
"Is what true?" Deku asked, acting clueless, walking closer to his classmates.
"Deku!" Uraraka pushed her way through the crowd who were surrounding Izuku. She threw herself onto him, pulling him into a hug. "I'm so proud of you, Deku!" She squealed.
"Hey, round face." A husky voice interrupted the conversation. "Get off of him, now." They pulled Izuku out of Uraraka's arms into their own. Izuku looked behind him to see Katsuki holding him protectively.
"So it is true?" Kaminari gasped. "You guys are dating?"
"Yeah, it's true, and it's not a big deal, so quit acting like it is you damn extras." Katsuki held Izuku tighter, disliking all of the eyes that were on his boyfriend.
The whole class erupted into an outburst of congratulations.
Katsuki just pulled an unamused expression and Izuku smiled happily at his classmate's reactions. He was glad that they reacted so positively towards it.
"How did you guys even find out anyway?" Izuku suddenly questioned.
"I told dumb hair this morning and he let it slip to the whole damn class." Katsuki replied, scowling at Kirishima.
The red head chuckled nervously. "Yeah, my bad Bakubro."
The classroom door swung open, revealing Aizawa Sensei in his cocoon-like sleeping bag.
"Alright, everyone sit down. We have a lot to get through today."
Everyone went to their seats and the school day began.
It was now second-last period. Izuku was getting pretty tired and had been zoning in and out for the past 20 minutes. He was snapped out of his thoughts when a familiar voice called his name.
"Deku." Katsuki repeated for the third time.
"Oh, y-yes?" Izuku finally responded, his head snapping upwards.
"The papers. take them."
"Ah, right. Sorry Kacchan." Izuku took the work sheets from Katsuki, taking one for himself and passing the rest behind him.
"You haven't been focused all period. Are you sick or something?" Katsuki asked, placing the back of his hand against Izuku's forehead. Izuku giggled at Katsuki's concern. It was cute.
"No, I'm fine Kacchan, really. Just a little tired, that's all." Izuku gave a lazy smile to reassure the blonde.
Katsuki just shrugged and turned back around to the front. Izuku sighed and began working on the paper he'd just received.
School was finally over for the day. Izuku took a quick shower after working at the gym last period and headed over to the common room. When he arrived, he sunk into the couch in between Uraraka and Todoroki. He was still super tired.
"You okay, Deku?" Uraraka asked, noticing Izuku's dark eye bags.
"Yeah, just been a long day." Izuku replied, half-heartedly.
"If you're tired then you should go to bed, Midoriya. It is important to get the right amount of sleep." Iida lectured, waving his hands in the air.
"Hah, yeah, you're right." Izuku stood up, instantly stumbling back down.
Uraraka caught onto Izuku, helping him back down onto the couch carefully. "Jeez Deku, you really are tired."
"I'll take him back to his room." Todoroki offered, standing up from the couch.
Izuku's was suddenly pulled up from the couch into strong arms. "No you won't, I will." Katsuki snarled possessively, holding up Izuku. As if he'd allow Icyhot to carry Izuku to bed, keep dreaming.
"Oh, okay then." Todoroki furrowed his brows, but shrugged it off and sat back down.
Katsuki held Izuku bridal style, carrying him to the elevator.
"That was a little over dramatic." Todoroki stated once Katsuki was out of the room.
"Well, he wouldn't be Bakugou if he wasn't over dramatic." Kirishima chuckled, holding a thumb up.
"You don't have to do this you know." Izuku spoke up, almost whispering.
"Yeah, I did. You couldn't even stand. Besides, I wasn't going to let half 'n' half take you up to your room." He gritted his teeth at the thought. Izuku giggled at Katsuki's over-protectiveness.
Katsuki was so glad to finally be able to call Izuku his. He didn't want to screw things up or take any chances. He may come across as overprotective, because he was. He couldn't help himself.
Katsuki looked down when he heard familiar, soft snores coming from below him.
"Deku..?"
'He's fallen asleep. That dumbass. He seriously overworks himself.'
Katsuki reached Izuku's dorm room and took the keys from his pockets, unlocking his door. He gently placed him under his bed covers, careful not to wake him up, as he kneeled on the floor beside him. He felt a wave of deja vu as he moved a strand of hair from his boyfriend's face and tenderly kissed his forehead. He then got up and left him alone to rest.
As the elevator doors opened, the inaudible conversations between his classmates became louder. He stepped out of the elevator and sat himself on one of the dining chairs.
"Hey Bakugou, how's Mido?" Sero asked the blonde as he pulled up his legs, sitting cross-legged on the chair.
"He's fine." Is all he replied with, not in the mood for small talk. When was he ever?
Katsuki hung out in the common room for the next few hours until eventually everyone disappeared back to their dorms.
He washed his face with cold water and brushed his teeth before getting into bed and drifting off to sleep.
