Apxyn's POV

Chapter 4 (Part 1) : Challenge

Unbelievable.

"Old lady, do you expect us to believe that? Stop that nonsense. Tell me which country sent you here to spy on us?" I calmly asked, as always

"No one sent me!" She sound defensive, Anuk and Leif looked at each other as if they both think that she is lying. The old woman noticed it, she shut her eyes and sighed

"I was doing a research with my husband in South pole when avalanche suddenly occur and when I woke up, I am already here. This should be a top secret in NASA but you leave me no choice but to leak it"

"South pole? NASA?" Leif asked

"You! I was just trying to get my goggle but you tried to kill me! That is when I thought that you are bad guys so I had to protect myself and used my gun. But looking at the situation now, I guess we are just having a misunderstanding. I'm sorry for acting like that earlier. So can you tell me about who you are and where exactly I am? About those ability stuff, I don't have such a thing. Maybe you are Aliens?"

This old lady is the impolite version of Anuk  "We are not ' Aliens', we are Ozens." I corrected her

Leif looked at the goggle in his neck and gave it to the old lady while pouting. Leif and Anuk found the old lady on the dry forest. That is where Leif usually passes by. So to put it together, the old lady must have dropped her goggles somewhere there. Leif, passing by that forest, took the goggles without knowing it's someone else's belonging

"I have read something about humans. You said your name is Gina?"

The old lady nodded "Yes, so don't call me 'Old lady'. Call me by my name"

"Miss Gina, just in case you are telling the truth, let me explain this to you. Earth is a planet from the other Universe. Humans and Ozens are different. Each Ozens have one ability, Leif is an example, his ability is to teleport to different places, but you humans, don't have. Also, Ozens don't eat but... Humans cannot live without supplying nutrients to their body Am I right?"

"Y-Yes. But how did you know all of this?"

"Collecting books is my hobby, specially if it's content is unique" He proudly said with his usual baritone voice

"The time finally came where you need to use those useless habits of yours huh" Leif, teasing Anuk.

Someone knocked outside "Lady Apxyn, the duel starts in 20 minutes. It will take place in the wide field, east alley" Then it left

"Duel?" Anuk and Leif asked

"Yes. Estevan challenged me, my freedom is on the line so I shall not lose"

"That man really doesn't know how to give up" Said Leif

"Shouldn't he be in the prison for using his ability?" Anuk asked

"They can't do that to someone who used his ability for the country's sake" They both nodded at my answer "Take Gina with us, I have something to say later"

We arrived here at the wide field. Ozens who are here to watch are mostly army and knights, there is only a few town folks

"After this, we'll go to Anuk's place to study Gina more. Don't worry, I'll wrap things up fast so we can have more time researching"

"Be careful, your opponent is a former knight. He is not like any beasts that you have fought so far" Anuk reminded

"That guy is overflowing of arrogance, too confident to challenge you. Go teach him a lesson or two" Leif cheered

"I don't know what's happening but... I've seen a bit of your strength but that is enough to see how powerful you are. I know you can win this so go and kick his ass!" The old lady, Gina-- well, err... Acting like a young lady, are all humans like this?

I walked to the center where Estevan is waiting. With no expression, with full of confidence.

"Both fighters are here. Estevan Einzwith, a former knight, challenged Apxyn Ozenvard, grand daughter of King Python and a special mission taker. If Estevan win, Lady Apxyn will be forced to be the new Ruler of Ozenvard. But if Lady Apxyn win, everyone have to respect her decision" A knight said with a loud voice enough to be heard by everyone

A cloth containing the Ozenvard symbol landed on the ground between me and Estevan indicating that the match has begun.

Estevan's whole body turned into a sparkling Iron making body become even more firm and strong. I, on the other side only stood here with a calm attitude and poker face.

He started to run towards me, he tried to hit me with his right so I used my left arms to make his attack slide to my right side so it won't hit me. While Estevan is still in shock while looking at his arms passing through my right side, I held his right arms with my both hands and threw him with all my strength on the ground

The impact was too strong so I think he is hurt. I used this chance to get a little farther from him and took my katana out of its sheath and held it with my both hands.

I closed my eyes to concentrate more. I felt a very negative and dark aura flowing out of my 'Grimm'. The presence that comes from the audiences is becoming tense

I opened my eyes when I felt that my katana is ready

Estvan stood up and looked at me with fears in his eyes. The dark wind is already circling around me, that's why. "I am giving you a chance to give up, do it now. You know that the most powerful katana is in my possession so why bother fighting me when the winner is already destined?"

Because of what I just said, I remembered the reason how 'Grimm' became mine...
