author's note
Originally, I had planned to do a piece on Ursula, but the plot didn't play out the way it did in my head, and given that I was already working on a Greek Mythology piece and had that stuck on the brain, I decided to do a short story based on Megara from Hercules.Obviously, I have always preferred the original tales to the tales that Disney altered so that each one had a happy ending, but I do still adore Disney movies.
Megara's ending in Greek Mythology is not a happy one — Hera sent Hercules mad, because of her hate of him.
She is only mentioned briefly in some myths, depending on the one who wrote it.
I combined the Hercules movie and that mythological tale together. And possibly some hints of tidbits from Once Upon a Time but not necessarily set in that universe.
Some parts may reference to my project, Court of Hades, which is to be posted by July or so. So if it strikes you as a recurring theme, that's why.

Never trust the gods, is the first rule she should have learned. For all his sun-bright smile and cocky demeanor, he was no better than the rest of them.
For the Happily Ever After...? Contest by WattpadDisney
A mix of Disney references and Greek Mythology. Not a fanfiction, necessarily.
