The month had been long and hectic, there was a mountain of paperwork to be reviewed and on top of that school had been just as demanding will all the freshmen relying on you for help with producer work. It had been one thing on top of the other and you were just about ready to collapse with everything that’s been going on and despite being in the same school and year, being relocated to the new building specifically for the producer course made it harder for you to meet with Koga, your current boyfriend. You’ve made several times attempts to plan dates with him but every single plan had to be cancelled in favor of prioritizing work.

To make matters worse, Undead will be staying abroad for a couple of weeks for a live. Ever since Operetta, Rei had been catching the attention of multiple international live houses and every now and then they’d accept a job abroad so long as it doesn’t clash with Koga and Adonis’ schedule at school.

You would have loved to come with them on the pretense of producing for Undead but Trickstar had come to you first, requesting your help for a webshow specifically for Ensemble Square. It seemed to be important, a request from Tenshouin Eichi himself and either way you didn’t really have the heart to say no to them, so instead you reluctantly stayed behind and wished Koga goodluck on the phone the night before he left.

You’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss hanging out with your boyfriend, but you were more than glad to know that he’s doing well, if his text messages and the occasional photos he sent were anything to go by. You were proud he was doing well.
For the next couple of weeks you buried yourself in more work, ironing out proposals and handing out work to the newer units. You were in the middle of revising a submission from Ryuseitai when your there was a loud knock on your door followed by multiple rings of your doorbell which immediately snapped you out of your work trance.

“God how impatient can this person be?” You complained as the knocking and incessant ringing continued. You slipped into your house slippers and padded off into the hallway, ready to tell the person off when you opened the door but found yourself wound in someone’s arms tightly and a familiar scent of cologne invaded your senses.

“Koga? What are you doing here? Your flight wasn’t supposed to leave until tomorrow-“

“Damned vampire helped me book the soonest flight we could get, I wanted to spend more time with you before work and school starts biting our asses again.” He replied, nuzzling further into your neck as he pulled you closer to him.

“I missed you.” You whispered, relishing in the fact that he was there.

There was a moment of silence and you worried your voice has been too soft for him to hear but Koga pulled away from your neck after a while and in the next second you found his lips against yours, kissing you deeply and fervently as though trying to express the loneliness he felt in the past couple of weeks. It took you a second to process what was happening, face reddening as realization sunk in and you started kissing back, closing your eyes as you shared that tender moment.

You pulled away a moment after, chest heaving for air as Koga pressed his forehead against yours, the same red adorning his cheeks as he looked off to the side sheepishly.

“I missed you too.”
