I heard the door open waking me up effectively. I flicked my eyes to the window seeing the light flooding through. I could still hear Collins soft snores as the footsteps walked into the room.
"Roxanne." The voice whispered before coming closer. I sat up and flung my arms around him. He kissed me on my forehead softly smiling.
"Harry, I've missed you," I said feeling the floods of relief. I heard the ruffle of fabric and held my hand up just fast enough to catch the pillow launched at us. A sharp pain shot up from my hand to my arm. Harry was just close enough to hear the small hissing sound I made.
He pulled away to get a better look at me worried. "Are you ok?" I nodded and shot Collins a glare who was looking at me sheepishly.
"Yea" I whispered not wanting to ruin how happy I felt. Harry glared at Collins and took my hand in his delicately.
"Do I want to know?" Harry asked. I shook my head no." I have been hearing you've been giving the guards a run for their money." He grinned at me almost proudly.
"Funny I've heard nothing of you." I retorted. The curiosity bubbling up in me as he looked uncomfortable rubbing the back of his neck.
"Uh yea, about that." He stammered. I cocked an eyebrow at him telling him I was waiting. "Isn't it time for breakfast. "He blurted trying to change the subject. I wasn't going to let him get away with it but Collins's stomach growled.
"Fine, but you owe me an explanation." I walked to Collins's closet and grabbed the spare clothes I left here. I walked into his bathroom and put on the black leggings the red T-shirt and my black sneakers.
I came out to find Collins wearing a white Tshirt with blue jeans. Harry looked me over lustfully causing Collin to elbow him. He blushed and shuffled his feet. "Hurry up." Collins groaned impatiently waiting to guess where my weapons were stashed.
"Ok. You couldn't have a gun your clothes are too tight." Harry started I kept my face even as he continued. "Ummmmm... there's a knife along your outer thigh and maybe something in your hair?"
Collins motioned for him to pat me down. I stayed still as his hands brushed along me. He retrieved the knife and found the gun I had in the small of my back. He found the throwing knives as well. When he walked away I spoke up.
"And your dead." I pulled the small blow dart out of my hair and another throwing knife from my cleavage. I got my weapons from him and grinned. "You are doing better at pat-downs though."
"Not good enough." Collins scolded. I linked my arm in Harry's and started heading down to the kitchen with Collins on our trail.
As we got closer downstairs we heard the happy chatter of the others. I grabbed a plate and filled it with fruits and a hard-boiled egg ignoring all the stares. As people saw me the room fell into silence like it always did.
"It's still like this?" Harry whispered to Collins as they grabbed their plates. I walked through the closest door and started to head to my room with the boys right behind me. "Roxanne, don't you want to eat with your family?" He questioned.
"Harry...." Collins warned. But I held my tongue and continued walking. "Don't push it, man, She needs to trust them on her own."
"It's been over a month," Harry argued.
"It's been a rough month for her." Collins defended.
"Me and her started dating in less time." He retorted.
"You earned my trust Harry," I said not liking them argue about me like I wasn't there. Thinking about when he stood up to Andrew to me falling asleep in his dorm to the nights in the cabin. Once we got into my room we ate in silence for a bit.
"Roxanne I just want you to be happy," Harry said in a low voice. I nodded and kissed his cheek.
"You guys make me happy." When Collins wasn't looking a stole a piece of bacon and left a strawberry instead.
"Hey!" Collins complained looking at the piece of fruit the invaded his pile of meat.
"Fruits good for you," I stated as I started eating the bacon in front of him. Harry chuckled watching us. "So Alastair?" I turned to question Harry.
"Oh! So he did come to see you." He smiled a radiant smile at me.
"So you do know him?" I clarified as he nodded. "Well, why send him to me?"
"Roxanne, you need friends around you who can appreciate you." He said strategically. Since when did Harry get diplomatic with me?
"What does that mean?" Collins blurted obviously not liking something about his wording.
"I mean Alaister grew up in a rough neighborhood and has a rough past. He also has a little sister he takes care of and thinks the world of. " Harry stated I nodded understanding, but Collins was denser than us.
"So?"
"So, he won't be quick to judge my past transgressions and appreciates women. He also knows how to take care of someone and keep in mind their safety." I could see the light dawn on Collins. "Now stop trying to argue with Harry all of the time."
"How's Rebecca?" Harry asked changing the subject. Collins told Harry everything Harry's missed on his love life. "But she seems happy."
"Well, it's time for me to go to my lessons." I made a face when a said the word lessons making the boys laugh. I had to go once a week and learn the ins and outs of the kingdom.
"I'll come with," Harry said standing up and taking my hand. "I might be able to help since I've lived here my whole life." I grinned at him, I was happy to have him back. He's grown more confident than the dorky boy I first met but he was still just as sweet.
