The next time I saw you, I was locking up the shop and it was dark outside.
Since I didn't have a car back then, I was walking fast and hoping to avoid trouble.
I heard footsteps behind me, but I was too scared to look back.
I began to walk faster and heard the footsteps do the same.
For once I was glad that my mom made me do track because after a while I took off in a full sprint.
I heard a familiar voice that kept yelling, "Wait! Hey,wait! Wait! Wait!"
I did the opposite of that though.
It wasn't until I heard that familiar voice, your familiar voice say my name that I stopped running.
When I turned around, you were still trying to catch up with me.
When you finally did, you bent over and put your hands on your knees and said, "Give me a minute or two or three. Damn you're fast as fuck," between gasps.
I still didn't know who you were exactly until you stood up straight.
The boy from the coffee shop.
I then asked you how you knew my name and replied, "Nametag," smoothly.
After an awkward silence I said, "I'm going home."
"I'll walk with you." you replied quickly.
I raised one eyebrow and said okay.
When we were halfway to my apartment building, I asked, "Why were you chasing me?"
"Oh, yea, I was trying to give you this back." And you pulled out my agenda.
"Thanks." I said with a smile.
"So, um, this is me. Thanks again for the agenda and walking me to my apartment..."
"Jordan." you finished.
"Yea, thanks Jordan." and with that, I walked away.
I couldn't help to feel that there was something special about you since that night.
