Fog in the distance
Fog all around us
Engulfing our surroundings
I feel like its bound us
In an eternal winter
In actuality our spring
This wasn't here yesterday
when I was reading the ballad of John Henry King
We're moving forward
White smoke trailing behind us
If someone had a search warrant
do you think they would find us ?The sunlight cuts through
this blanket of white
Splashing our faces
with its warm rays of delight
I stare up to look at it
and it looks like the Moon
A white ball of cheese
as described in the looney toons
Someone seems to have eaten it
As I see it no more
or maybe it got tired
and fell on the floorOur vision now reduced to five meters in every direction
Of this happening I have no recollection
As I stare out in front, then sideways and backwards
I feel so lost for words, maybe they can't find us ?
My first indication of our location, I've sighted
This bus ride feels longer and yet as it comes to an end
To those that read this, well that means your a friend
