“Oh! Hey Lurch.” Echo greeted as she came down the stairs to find Happy at the kitchen table, coffee in hand.
“What kid?” Happy asked, rolling his eyes at the ‘Lurch’ nickname.
“Where’s Chris?” Echo asked.
“Asleep. Why?” Happy asked.
“Rude. Anyways I’ma drop some cookies off at your Ma’s house. Could you let Chris know that the pool guy should be here around noon?” Echo asked him.
Happy nodded and took a sip of coffee. “Where’s Cam?” He asked.
“Shop I guess.” Echo shrugged. “Thanks Lurch!” Echo called as she grabbed her keys and headed out the door.
Happy got up from the table as the kettle popped. Grabbing her favorite tea mug, Happy made Chris her morning tea. He noticed that it didn’t surprise him how well he knew his way around the girls’ home. It just went to show how quickly his little blond had wrapped him around her little finger.
Happy made his way into her bedroom and smiled. She laid on her stomach, wrapped around her favorite pillow. Happy sat down the bed next to her and set the mug on her nightstand. She stirred a little before her eyes fluttered open. Happy place her glasses on her face and moved back as she stretched and yawned. “Little one, what’s this about a pool guy?” He asked.
“Something about the filter being replaced. I don’t know baby.” She mumbled sleepily.
“Call them back you don’t need them coming to house. I’ll fix it.” Happy demanded.
“Yes, Daddy.” Chris mumbled, but a smirk crossed her lips.
“Don’t start something you can’t finish little girl.” Happy ordered and she snickered.
“Where is everyone?” Chris asked pushing herself up against the headboard.
Happy grabbed her tea from the nightstand and handed it to her. “Cam’s at the shop and the kid just left for Ma’s to drop off some cookies.” Happy answered.
“So… We’re alone?” Chris asked seductively.
Mama Lowman’s House
“Ok Mija. Make sure you and Chris bring Cj over. I need to meet this female version of my son. Oh and don’t forget the Enchiladas I made for you guys. Tell Mijo and Mija I love them.”
“Okay Elena, thanks again. Call if you need anything!” Echo told the older woman.
“I will.” She smiled as Echo left.
At The Shop
“Hey kid, what’s going on with baby?” Cj asked.
“She’s making funny noises again, she needs an alignment and new tires… Are you going to the house right now?” Echo asked.
“Yeah, Jax is picking me up. Want me to drop you off?” She asked.
“Yeah, I gotta grab a few things.” Echo told her.
