Still Spencer's POV
I think I really messed things up with me and her. I made her cry for gods sake. I think she's avoiding me to, I tried to talk to her about it but she pulled up some sort of excuse to get out of it. I think she probably hates me now but I can feel her stares at work and I caught her to start typing in our chatroom but she didn't send it. Maybe I can talk about it with Derek and Rossi but I don't know. What's the worst it could do at this point. I already messed up the closest relationship that I had. I glanced at her one last time before I walked to Derek's desk.
"Hey, I need to talk with you and Rossi about something." I said as I got to his desk. He looked up at me and looked confused.
"What about?" He asked before he stood up.
"I'll tell you when we get in his office." I said and started to walk that way. He followed behind me up the steps and into Dave's office. I closed the door behind the two of us.
"What's going on?" Dave asked when he saw the two of us walk in.
"I need to talk to you guys about something." I said nervous.
"What is it?" Dave asked as he set down his pen.
"I may have told a certain someone that I like, liked them and now they are completely avoiding me and I have no idea how to fix it." I said while trying to not ramble.
"Who?" Derek asked with a smirk.
"Olivia." I said after a little bit.
"Are you serious? When?" Derek asked amused.
"I don't know why you seem to be happy about this because I think I just seriously messed up our whole friendship but I told her that night we all went out for drinks last week." I said as I glared at him.
"Okay before we start fighting and freaking out, tell me what all happened. I want to know it all so I know what you did wrong." Dave said as he clasped his hands together on the desk. I started from the beginning and told him every detail. He nodded and listened while Derek made stupid comments the whole time. When I finished Dave looked at me with an understanding look in his eyes. I looked at him hopeful and waited for him to tell me what the hell I did wrong. "The first thing that you did wrong was how you brought it up. You can't just say stuff like that out of the blue. You have to work up to it. You caught her off guard and most likely scared her a little. The second thing you did wrong was let her leave the apartment. It's like you haven't done anything like that before." He said with a small smile.
"I haven't. Why do you think I'm coming to you for help." I said agitated.
"I think most of this is on her side, other than the things Dave pointed out you did the best you could in the situation. Now it's up to her to work this out with you." Derek said, finally being helpful.
"What should I do now?" I asked while looking at him.
"Make the first move. Reach out to her first and say that you want to work this out with her. It would be best if you did the working out in person but you can reach out through text or note if you wanted to go old school." Dave said with a nod. I looked at him and then looked out the window and saw all the girls watching the window while crowded by Olivia's desk. I looked down at my hands and sighed.
"It's normal to be a nervous wreck right?" I asked.
"Yes Reid, that's very normal. Now go get your girl!" Derek said as he patted my back harshly and then walked out the door. I looked up at him and smiled lightly.
"You got this kid." Rossi said before I stood up and nodded. I walked out of his office and went to the coffee machine. I pulled a mug from the cabinet and started to make my coffee.
