Chapter 26- Not So Good Morning

The three of us talked and joke as we waited to hear from the doctor and from Hotch. I had fun for the most part but it really lit up when I heard my second best friend Derek. I smiled wide and motioned for him to come closer. He walked over and I pulled him into the biggest hug I could manage.

"I'm so glad that you have those big wonderful muscles! You my darling are beautiful in every possible way! Do you know that?" I said as we hugged.

"I do now." He said and pulled away. He kissed the top of my head and I looked at the door where everyone else was standing.

"Don't be shy! Come in! I almost died but didn't so it's hug and appreciation time! No getting out of it!" I said with a big smile. "Don't stop the tears either." I said as JJ came up to hug me.

"I was so worried! I can't believe that we almost lost you." She said as she hugged me. I held her tight and looked at her as she pulled away.

"You can't get rid of me that easily." I said as she stepped back to let Emily get a hug.

"If you scare me like that ever again I will kick your ass. Do you hear me?" She asked as she held me.

"Loud and clear." I said as she pulled back to look at me. She walked over to Garcia and Morgan and Rossi came over to the side of my bed.

"I love you kid. Next time you tell one of us if you're going into a place like that." He said as he held onto my arms.

"Yes sir." I said with a nod, he kissed my forehead and stepped back. Hotch came up to the side of my bed and looked down at me.

"Don't do that again. You scared all of us. You even scared Jack and Henry." He said before I opened my arms. He bent down and hugged me.

"Thank you." I mumbled as I closed my eyes. He pulled back and looked at me again.

"Sorry to interrupt but I'd like to go over a few things with you ma'am." The doctor said as she stood in the doorway. I nodded and she walked in and closed the door. " Thankfully you didn't get majorly hurt in the fire. There wasn't any burns or breaks. No scratches or cuts, there wasn't any fractures either. The only thing that I'm concerned about is that you take it easy for the next few weeks. Get plenty of rest and no stunts like today. If you party a lot I'd suggest as minimal alcohol as possible and no intercourse for those weeks." She said as she went through the chart.

"Tough luck pretty boy." Morgan joked. I shot him a glare and he shut up.

"Is that all?" I asked.

"Yes, that's it for now. You can be discharged as soon as tonight." She said and walked out.

As soon as she left I turned my way to Morgan. "Are you serious? Not the time dude!" I said.

"You have to admit, it was kinda funny." Garcia spoke.

"Still not the time!" I said with a chuckle. "Anyway, did you find the guy who tried to kill me?" I asked while turning my gaze to Hotch.

"Yes, we caught him fairly quickly." He said.

"How?" I asked.

"Jackson Hues. When we asked about a partner he said that he had one and he asked why you weren't the one asking. I told him that his partner tried to kill you and the girl. He ratted out his partner right after that." Hotch answered.

"Why?" I asked confused.

"I didn't ask." He said and then the topic changed. We talked and hung out until I was able to get discharged. I signed the paperwork and got changed into the clothes that Spencer brought me from the hotel room. I gathered my things and walked out to the SUV's. "How about we all go to the hotel and have some takeout and watch a movie or something." Hotch suggested as got to the cars.
