Ch.3/// "Why Can't I?"

First day of training... great. I woke up and Kirishima was taking a shower. I got dressed and sat on the bed waiting for him. I heard the shower turn off and after a few minutes he walked out, dressed, and he was drying his hair.

"Hey Y/n! You want to walk to class together?"

"Sure!"

We both walked out of the dorm and headed to the room for class 1-A. I opened the door to see Iida in the front of the class, Izu talking with Ochako, and Bakugo yelling at Denki... a pretty messed up class if you ask me. Kirishima ran up to Bakugo and started talking. I didn't want to seem like a bother so I didn't follow him. I didn't want to bother Izu or Ochako, and I didn't want to stand in front of the class and embarrass myself so I decided to find someone... hopefully by themselves. I spotted a boy with split hair, slouched in his chair. I sat next to him,

"Hi I-I'm Y/n and y-you are?"

"Todoroki, I'm Todoroki."

I touched his shoulders and closed my eyes.. I saw- things, despicable things. Let's just say the hero Endeavor is any less than a hero.

"Wha- what are you doing?" he said with an awkward smile. (wait Todoroki doesn't smile lol)

"Oh sorry I'm reading into you... It is part of my power."

"So I heard," he replied, "well, find anything interesting?"

I didn't want to tell him what I saw of his childhood, his mother, his dumbass father, the terrible things he would do to him, so I lied.

"Oh nothing much you are Shoto Todoroki, your quirk is half ice and half fire, and your father is the pro hero Endeavor. The simple things really." I said with a reassuring smile on my face. I took a seat next to him. Not gonna lie, I found him quite attractive and smart too but his childhood, how could someone that is considered a hero to all hurt his own child, his own wife.

"Alright I am your teacher Shota Aizawa also known as the pro hero Eraserhead. We are going to work on some partner training today so I will be assigning you guys partners"

Oh great partners I thought. Aizawa started listing names Midoriya with Ochako, Denki with Sero, Bakugo with Kirishima, and I was partnered with Todoroki. Aizawa then dismissed us to the combat field.

"Well I guess we are partners." Todoroki said.

"Yeah, I-i guess so," when I read into him I noticed that Todo wasn't very interested in using his fireside but I wanted him to use it because I had an idea.

"Todo, is it possible you could use your fireside? I have an idea and I am sure we wi-" he cut me off.

"I'd like not to, it is giving in to what my father wants and I refuse."

"A-alright..."

I had thought about using my blue fire and his flames to defeat the pair we are matched with. It would be perfect, one to two easy shots, it would be a definite win! But my power is very useless against ice, I can't use my sword because nobody else has weapons, if he uses his ice I will be useless. First we were paired with Denki and Sero. Denki tried electrifying Todo and I but he put up a wall of ice to block it. I jumped up on the block of ice, flames and all and took a shot at Sero. He fell back and wrapped me in his weird tape stuff.

"TODO I NEED SOME HELP!! USE YOUR FREAKING FIRE AND HELP ME!!!" We were losing. I refuse to lose.

"WELL WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO AIM?"

"UP JUST UP!" If he aims up I could aim down at Denki and Sero. Suddenly, flames shot straight up in front of me. I took my blue flames and started to aim down at Denki and Sero. White flames began to sprout from our flames combined then tape, Aizawa's. His tape can't stop me because I don't have a quirk but it did stop everyone else so I stopped as well.

"Y/n you can NOT work with your peers! You are too dangerous! Or you can't work with Todoroki, those flames were too strong!"

"Why can't I? I think I should be able to work with my peers and train to become who I want to be." I protested.

"Y/n stop!" Kirishima butted in.

"No!" I felt my flames getting stronger, I was getting upset.

"Hey! Y/n it is alright we won you don't have to get upset with Aizawa sensei." Todoroki said as he pulled me to face him and placed his hands on my shoulders. I took a breath, and sighed.

"I guess you're right Aizawa sensei, apologies."

"Hmm apologies accepted. May I speak with you after class?"

I nodded, "Yes sensei."

(A/n Yay!! Todo... I can't believe I had him smile, more like Todoroki can smile AU 823 words :) )
