That weekend my cousin Abigail insisted that Sky and I go with her and her now-boyfriend Dwayne down to the pier for a late lunch at his dad's restaurant. Sky jumped at the opportunity because apparently seafood reminded him of Alaska and he was starting to feel a little homesick.
I wanted to look pretty when Sky saw me, not for him, but for me. I put on a little black dress my mom got me from a boutique in Little Italy, it was the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen and I promised to save it for a special day. I put on a silver coin necklace to add a little bit of personality to it.
