Imagine...
You are staying late after school to work on the finishing touches for the school yearbook. You have already been there for about an hour and are just going back over every page to see if you can find anything that needs fixing.
"Do you enjoy staying at school after hours?" a familiar voice says, causing you to turn your head to see a smiling Minhyuk leaning against the door frame.
"Oh, hi," you say, feeling your cheeks turning red. "Not really, but if I didn't there would be no yearbook." He laughs a little and walks over to you, taking a seat at the desk behind you.
"Ah, it looks good," he says in awe, looking over your shoulder.
"Yah," you say, turning your head and looking at him as he moves back. "You can't see this. It's confidential."
"Not anymore," he says with a smile. You just chuckle and shake your head before turning to face the computer screen again. "Oh, you should put that right there," he says, pointing a finger at the screen.
"Huh?" you ask in confusion.
"Here," he says, getting up and slightly bending over behind you. He puts one of his hands right next to yours and the other on top of the one that is on the mouse, his head almost in the crook of your neck. You tense a little, which only makes you blush more and bite down on your lip. "There. Now it looks more...sportsy, if that's even a word," he says, making you giggle.
"G-gomawo," you say, trying not to move your head. He looks at your face for a few seconds before clearing his throat and standing back up. Then the sound of a phone ringing catches both of you off guard and you look at him as he pulls his cell phone out. He smiles a little before picking it up.
"Hey, Ye Na," he says, manuevering so that his back is now facing you. You sigh a little and face the screen again, trying to act busy. Ye Na is the most popular girl in school and just happens to be Minhyuk's girlfriend. "Uh now? Yeah, I can meet you there. Just give me like ten minutes. Okay, bye." Then he hangs up, shoving his phone in one of the front zippers of his backpack. "I'll see you tomorrow, (your name here)," he says as he head over to the door.
"Bye," you say, trying to act nonchalant. He smiles and waves before disappearing around the corner. You keep your eyes on the door, a cloud of melancholly now hanging over you.

The next day, you end up staying late again so that you can send the yearbook layout to the publisher.
"I really think they should start paying you for all this over time," Minhyuk says as he walks in, surprising you again.
"Yeah, that'd be nice," you say with a light sigh, making him laugh as he sits next to you. "So how'd it go with Ye Na yesterday?"
"Were you eavesdropping?" he asks with a grin on his lips.
"Well, it wasn't exactly difficult to," you reply, moving in the seat so that two are now face to face. He chuckles slightly and lowers his head, intertwining his fingers together.
"She, uh, broke up with me," he says, looking back at you.
"What?" you ask in shock.
"Yeah, she said that I was blocking her from seeing better options," he explains. "Whatever the hell that means."
"Better options than you?" you say with a faint smile. "I didn't think that was even possible." He laughs again before letting out a gust of air.
"But I'm okay actually," he says. "It feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders."
"Well that's good," you say, earning a nod from him. "Hey, she didn't deserve you anyway. You're too nice for her and all her bitchiness."
"True story," he says, causing both of you to laugh. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable yesterday."
"What do you mean?" you ask. He just looks at you and then you realize what he is referring to. "Oh that, don't worry about it. You didn't make me uncomfortable. You actually helped out."
"Are you sure?" he asks, emitting a nod from you. "Cool. I don't know, I guess I just felt bad. Guess that's what happens when you have a crush on someone. You're afraid everything you do or say to them is wrong." You look up, eyes widened from hearing his words, and he smiles at you.
"W-what?" you stutter. "You have a crush on me?" He just nods his head without his eyes coming off of you.
"I have for a while now," he confesses. "I just didn't know how to tell you."
"Oh," you say, elongating your voice. "Well, this seemed like a pretty good way. Did you plan it?"
"Depends, is it working?" he says with his eyes full of hope. You look down at the ground, trying to hide your blushing cheeks.
"Maybe," you reply without looking at him. He smiles at you before getting off the seat, but not completely standing up. He lifts your head back up by your chin and kisses you right on your lips. Your heart jumps and flips in joy, so you kiss him back.
