"I'm glad you and Eric won," Ashlyn's friend Emma said. "Oh, yeah thanks, it was pretty exciting." Ashlyn responded with a smile. The two of them were waiting at the bus stop. To be a little honest, no one ever really liked Eric the way Ashlyn does. Eric Maniscalco. Kinda tall, black hair, brown eyes, in shape, nothing much. Yes, Eric is Indian, yes, he is smart, and yes, he is good at tennis. But that wasn't why he was so, different. He does have friends. He does talk to a girl named Rhiannon a lot, and socializes with the whole tennis team. Eric is a senior, and of course wouldn't be going to the school next year. Ashlyn never thought of him as an outcast, but actually well known, for how goody-goody he is in all his classes. The one thing that Ashlyn doesn't know is, who his parents are. Eric never talked about them, like ever. No one has ever seen them either. On the other hand, Ashlyn never knew her parents, but only her grandparents. Her aunts, uncles, and cousins lived in the same area as them, they're just kinda distant. They only hang out during special occasions. Her one aunt & uncle moved to Nashville recently. Ashlyn was upset, because she would miss her two cousins, and her aunt & uncle. Ashlyn Myers. She's kinda short, medium length dirty blonde hair, freckles, and hazel eyes. She is pretty cute, but never had any interest in being with the 'loud crowd'. She always had her best friends. She loves hockey and the 80's. Which made her different from most kids. Except the hockey part, lots of kids like the Blackhawks, well because they all live 30-40 min outside of Chicago. Eric & Ashlyn have some history together. They first met when she was in 5th grade, because they had tennis lessons together. She then saw him again in 7th, and that's when they started to get to know each other better, and soon got together. They didn't last, and broke up before Ashlyn's 8th grade year started. When high school started for her they started talking again, and obviously got back together. "So, how was your day," Ashlyn asked Emma, "My day was pretty good yesterday, I went shopping with my mom, that's about it," she responded. "That sounds fun, I kinda just did my homework," Ashlyn laughed a little. Emma smiled, and then the bus came, and drove them to school.
