March 28, 2019 --------- Arizona, USA
It's about six o'clock at night, Jaiden is about to make her dinner while James is still finishing up some drawings on the other end of town. They only live about a couple of miles apart but it seems to both of them, so far away.
Jaiden texts James, asking him a question, hoping he'll respond.
"Hey, James, so I was gonna make a video but I was thinking of doing a collab..."
She drops her phone walking over to Ari. She starts to chop up some vegetables. A bit too quickly, her phone vibrates; it's a reply.
"Sounds great, what were you thinking?" he eagerly texts.
"Ummm, I was kinda hoping you had an idea. haha," she responds, chuckling to herself.
"Do you want to play video games again? It was really fun the last time." He offers.
"That sounds good, I don't want to do all of the video work anyway. Maybe we could also draw pictures to go with our commentary for fun. It would add a bit of our Animating Magic" Jaiden texts. She smiles at her text, hoping it wasn't too cringy. She places her phone down to cook some spaghetti.
James finally finishes a frame and saves his work. He puts away all of his things from working all day. He sees Jaiden's text and smirks. He loved the way her mind worked; quirky, cute, and smart.
"Haha, all of the magic comes from you. That sounds like a plan though, want to meet up?" He stares down at his unsent text. He secretly hopes they can meet soon. He sends it with an emoji and turns off his phone, he then walks over to his kitchen and makes some Ramen. Picking up his dog, he goes to his couch, waiting for something.
After a couple of minutes, Jaiden sits down with her meal and unlocks her phone. A text from James is bright on the screen. She tries to ignore the first sentence while quickly replying with some meeting plans. After some back-and-forth with plans and schedules, they decide on Saturday and nine AM. Jaiden finishes her food while thinking about the "all of the magic comes from you." text. She knew he meant it as a joke but it was so nice. She realizes how much she is overthinking it and gets ready for bed.
