On Sunday, Jaiden came over to James' house and they worked for a couple of hours. They were finally finished and they uploaded their new video.

"Hey, it's only 12:28, do you want to go out for lunch or something?" James asked, hoping she would agree.

"Yeah sure. Maybe we can go to the mall after too. " Jaiden happily responded. Jaiden grabbed her phone, her wallet, and her jacket. They decided to go to the mall together and eat at the food court.  After eating, they decided to go shopping at many stores, laughing at things they saw throughout. After a whole day of fun with each other, they needed to go home.

"I forgot all of my stuff at your place, can we go back and get it?" Jaiden asks while they walk to his car which still smelled a bit like coffee.

"Oh, yeah sure," James responded. They drove back to his apartment, mentioning all of the additions of inside jokes they had between the two of them from today. As they walked in, James stared at Jaiden; smiling like a goof. Jaiden packs up her things but something stops her from leaving. She sits next to James on his bed, now they are both staring at each other.

"So, I had a great time tonight..." Jaiden says, realizing how she's said that after a couple of dates.

"Yeah. It was magical!" James jokes, reminding her of her text a couple of days ago. "I'm not being sarcastic though. I love ... spending time with you." James corrects himself before it's too late. Jaiden notices but doesn't say anything.

"I do too. We should do this again!" It's becoming comical how similar this was to some previous dates.

"Yeah, I agree. So, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to, umm..." he struggles to confidently ask her "are you free for dinner?"

Jaiden is surprised but laughs. "Yeah. Sure. Haha, thought you'd never ask." She continues to giggle.

"Why are you laughing?! That took a lot of courage!" James jokingly yells. For some reason, he didn't understand why he was worried at all. He'd done this before but this time, it wasn't awkward, they were still friends and he felt that. He knew Jaiden so well and they were best friends so he knew, whatever happened between them, it wouldn't affect their relationship.

They both got up at walked over to the door. James opened the door while Jaiden put on her shoes. She stood up and straightened her shirt. James let go of the door, letting it bang. In one swift motion, he hugged Jaiden. She stood there for a couple of seconds but then put her arms around his neck, feeling the warmth of his body.

"Sorry, I was just thinking about-- Whatever happens on our "date" or whatever it is, promise me we'll still be friends?"

"Of course. This" she points at him and then to her self "is too wonderful to waste." Jaiden reassures him.

"Okay, sorry. You can go, I just had to make sure. I'll see you Wednesday night Jaiden." He smiles, having a twinkle in his eye.

"Okay. Text me!" she says as she's leaving, giggling the whole way to the elevator.

Jaiden and James are both so excited about their meet up. Until Wednesday, they sent cute little texts to each other, waiting for Wednesday to roll around.

Jaiden was so nervous that she spent hours getting ready. She took an extra-long shower, brushed her teeth a second time, and took the next hour to ruin her closet. She tried on a million things and ripped a million things off trying to find the one. She tried on everything from running shorts and a tank top to an elegant purple dress she was saving for a special YouTube party. She finally agreed on a short, black dress and a flannel around her waist. She grabbed her purse and made sure Ari was in his cage when she heard the doorbell. she almost skipped to the door to open it. James was standing there, with a giant grin on his face and a nice suit on.

"Oh..." he said, looking down at her. "Eh, okay, let's go," he said turning around and beginning to walk away. Jaiden's heart sunk to the bottom of her chest, her head dropped in disappointment.

"Oh, I'm just kidding!" he said, whipping around and kissing her on her cheek, "You look absolutely beautiful."

Adrenaline rushed through her body and she felt so happy that he liked her. "Aww, thanks. I thought you honestly thought I didn't look good. Which I don't, I was just--" she felt her self go on and on.

"Oh, don't think that way. You're the prettiest girl I've ever met." James said, surprised by how much he was telling Jaiden. "Okay, we need to go or we'll lose our reservation."

"Right. I've got everything I need so-" she looked up. Instead of James' usual gray car, there was a nicer, black, BMW in its place with a driver ready to leave.

"What?! You didn't have to do all of this. I'm just Jaiden, I'm not anyone special..." She said, still not truly believing her eyes.

"Of course you are. You're Jaiden!" he said, looking up for a split second, gesturing that he was still in shock that she said yes to his proposal of going on a date. "You're super special to me and I know it's only us, and we've been best friends but, I wanted tonight to be perfect." Jaiden looked up, she had a shy smile on her face.

"I would love that, and I want tonight to be perfect. For all you've done for me these past couple of years." Jaiden said as they walked to the car. They drank some champagne which James had already opened on his way to her house. They laughed and drank on their drive to the restaurant.

James was excited, this was his chance to actually do something about his love for Jaiden. He couldn't mess this up, he would never forget it if he did.

Like James had pointed out, their minds work very similarly. Jaiden was also super excited for this night. She imagined her life if she was dating James and nothing bad came out of it. She wanted this so bad.
