For the next month, Jaiden and James got settled into their new home. They got new furniture, new supplies, and researched more to get used to the new neighborhood. They were being the best couple ever; making each other dinner, talking about the future,  and feeling nostalgic about the past. They also had a schedule that James negotiated with their colleagues; They have meetings at the same time so that they could drive together and shop after. They were the dynamic couple.

"James! You forgot your keys, babe!" Jaiden screams right before he leaves.

"Oh, thanks!" He looked at her as she threw them across the room. He finished pouring some coffee for both of them.

They were content and never wanted to leave this bubble of their new life. Even when they would get stressed with their videos or about their family, (which still only consisted of two dogs and two birds who seemed to obey them and get along with each other) they would help each other get through it.

"Good morning babe," James rolled over to the other side to look at Jaiden. Sadly, their relationship had gotten a bit less "honeymoon". They were used to their life and their work was starting to stress them out. Hopefully, their Independence Day party was going to be able to put more fun into their lives.

"Are you ready to get ready for today?" she asked rubbing her eyes and starting to pull off her covers.

"Of course," he mumbled, hugging his dogs which, after a bit of an argument between the two, slept on the bed with them. She went to open the birdcage and walked out of their room. They both walked out of their room and continued down the hallway to the stairs. They walked past their dining table and into their kitchen. It was a mess. They had already done a lot of the cooking beforehand and their living room and the couch were filled with decorations to put up today.

"I'm not cooking anymore so is cereal fine?" Jaiden asked as she got out two bowls.

"Sure." he smiled and kissed her cheek and grabbed the cereal boxes. They took everything and headed to the table. They sat down and ate, talking about the things that needed to get done today. After eating their meal, they both took showers and got ready for the day. Jaiden wore a blue t-shirt with white stars and a pair of shorts. He wore a red shirt with blue basketball shorts.

They continued through the day prepping all of the food, setting up, and decorating their backyard. At 5:54 at night, close to the party, the yard was filled with red, white, and blue. Sooner or later, all of their guests arrived. James and Jaiden had invited both of their families to stay for a couple of days. Their parents had already met each other before and had had a good time with one another.

The night progressed and their new neighbors, work colleagues, and families all got along and the night ended with some fireworks. As they watched them explode, James hugged and kissed Jaiden. She hugged him back and they stood there, watching the fireworks and its colors.
