Two of the same Asta x Oc

Chapter 3

Astrid's POV

During the night I realized that having been taken over by my demons three times in a week will take away more of my sanity then I thought it would. As I once again tried to close my eyes but all I heard were screams and felt like my body was on fire. I could only scream that's when I heard the door open. "Astrid? Astrid are you okay?!" Asta asks running over to me trying to shake me awake. But when he did I threw him against the bed and held him by his throat. "Astrid can you hear me?." Asta asks trying to get through to me. But it wasn't working that's when I started to add pressure to his hand that I had pinned and to squeezing his throat. Just as I was leaning down about to take Asta's blood Magna yells for Vanessa and Yami while trying to hold me back. Yami and Vanessa run into the room and help pry me off of Asta and get him out of the room. Vanessa starts comforting me while Yami drags Asta out.

Asta's POV

As captain Yami dragged me downstairs I gave him a confused look. "Why did you do that captain?" I ask as I watch him light a cigarette. "Listen kid you don't know my daughter as well as you think you do. So let me tell you a few things." He tells me blowing the smoke from his cigarette.  "I found out about what my ex did to Astrid when she was three. I was about sixteen when her mom ran away and I thought nothing of it. But that was until a few years before I became a captain." The captain tells me looking down sadly. 

Flashback  16 years ago:

A few years after Yami had become a magic knight squad captain. At the age of nineteen he was summoned to the capital by the wizard king.  "Yami! It's nice to see you again. But I have a mission for you. We've gotten word that there are scientists in the kingdom  that have kidnapped  children and attempted to experiment on them. So you're first mission as a captain will be to see if you can save those children or at least one child." Julius tells Yami and he nods and heads off. Once Yami gets to where the scientists were. He pummeled all of the  scientists to a pulp and soon after he walks into the room where the experiments were kept and he was disgusted by what he had seen. What was in that room were dead bodies of children that were all under the age of five. Yami was about to leave  and report all the deaths to the wizard king. But there was one kid that caught his eye, The reason why is because she looked like  his ex girlfriend  but that couldn't be right. But he remembered that he had a note from the said girlfriend that he never opened. "Alright kid you're coming  with me." Yami  says picking up the young Astrid  and walking back to the king's castle. "Here this is the only one that was still alive when I got there all the other kids were dead." Yami tells the wizard king. "Oh then don't  worry about it Yami at least you saved one of them. And what an adorable child she is but she it seems like whatever the experiments were  it seems. they were used on her and they were effective."  Julius tells Yami. "Don't worry I'll  take care of her so she doesn't get into too much trouble. Plus I think that this kid might be mine." Yami says and leaves carrying Astrid while Julius remains shocked. 

Astrid's POV

After Vanessa helped me calm down I decided to go downstairs and I noticed Asta being told a story.  I'm guessing it had something to do about what was wrong with me.  I figured my assumption was right because as soon as they saw me coming downstairs I was tackled by Asta. "Woah what's going on?" I asked confused. "I promise that when I become the wizard king I'll find a way to save you!" Asta yells with tears in his eyes.  I pat his head  lovingly. "Asta thank you." I say. As he helps me up. Later in the day my dad sends Luck, Asta, and Noelle on a mission and they've been gone for a few days. Once they get back Noelle tells me about the injuries he had sustained.  But he recovered which was good. Once he got back I made sure to take care of him. "So I heard that you guys fought people from the diamond kingdom." I say sitting down next to Asta while checking his bandages. "Yeah they were really strong! Not to mention that I got a really cool new anti magic sword." Asta says with excitement pulling his new sword out so he could show it to me.  Once he showed his new sword I felt Hokori wanted to say something. "Asta that sword is just like Hokori's sword or in different terms she is the female representation of the sin of pride."  I tell him and he looks shocked. "So what exactly am I doing with it?" Asta asks cautiously.  I decide that it would be better to lie to him for the time. For his own safety. "I honestly do know why you have an exact replica Asta but I'm sure that everything will be revealed soon enough." I say smiling at him. He returns the smile and lays down. I get up to go to my room but Asta grabs my arm before I could leave. "Astrid I know that this might sound strange but would you stay with me for the night?"  Asta asks embarrassed. I shake my head and sit on the bed. "Don't worry Asta that doesn't sound strange at all." I say laying down next to him. as we drift off into a peaceful sleep.  The next morning the captain tells Asta and Noelle that they have to go to the capital. So I walk over to him. "Dad let me go with them i have a bad feeling that something will happen." I tell him. but he looks hesitant at first but he nods letting me go with them. So after breakfast all three of us walk out of the doors.
