Kalpi was getting ready, today was the wedding day, her wedding day, to Raghav Singhania. Kalpi looked at herself, she wore a white bridal lehenga choli, her bridal jewellery was simple yet elegant,
“ nervous ?? “ Pakhi asked as she was fixing the dupatta on her head, Kalpi nodded “ don’t be….I was in the same position as you, but once he ties the mangalsutra around you, you’ll be better “ Pakhi smiled. “ Pakhi….do you think I can do this. Become Mrs. Raghav Singhania ? “ Kalpi asked worriedly, “ Yes, Bappa, brought you guys together for a reason Kalpi. Remember what Dadi said, we are Jadhav women, we can take on anything “ Pakhi said hugging Kalpi. Just the they was a soft knock on Kalpi’s room door and Manju peeked in, “ Is she ready ? “ Manju asked, “ Yes Dadi…..she’s ready “ Pakhi said. Pakhi placed the red rose wedding garland around Kalpi’s neck and said “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge “. Kalpi laughed and made their way downstairs.
Raghav was sitting at the mandap waiting for Kalpi, “ You ok bro ? “ Sammy asked, nodding, Raghav kept looking at the stairs, “ where is she ?? “ Raghav thought. Just then Kalpi down with Manju and Pakhi accompanying her, Raghav and everyone else stood up to welcome the bride-to-be. Kalpi kept her gaze down until she reached the mandap. She climbed up and sat down beside Raghav. The panditji started the rituals, after the rituals were finished, the pandit asked Raghav and Kalpi to stand up and go around the fire 14 time’s. Raghav went around the fire with Kalpi behind him 7 times, and through out the whole time Raghav was holding Kalpi’s hand, then Kalpi went around the fire 7 times with Raghav behind her. After going around the fire, they sat back down, the pandit then passed the mangalsuta to Raghav to tire it around Kalpi’s neck. Raghav took the mangalsutra and looked at Kalpi, Kalpi looked at Raghav and gave a shy smile. Raghav then tied the mangalsutra around Kalpi’s neck, he then proceed to add the sindoor on Kalpi’s head, to show that she is now married to him.
After the wedding ceremony, everyone was enjoying themselves “ congratulations “ Pakhi said as she hugged Kalpi, “ Thank you “ Kalpi said. “ My dream came true “ Gauri said happily and she hugged Kalpi tightly. Kalpi laughed and returned her hug. Kalpi was mingling around when Raghav came up beside her, “ So how does it feel to be Mrs. Raghav Singhania ? “ Raghav asked proudly “ Hmmmmm…let’s see….same old…same old “ Kalpi teased and looked at him. Raghav looked at Kalpi shell shocked after hearing her answer, Kalpi laughed and said “ I’m happy to be Mrs. Raghav Singhania “ hugging him. Raghav smiled and hugged her back. “ I like your outfit “ Raghav said looking at her, “ Really ?? Thanks “ Kalpi said happily, “ But I’ll like it even more if your weren’t wearing it “ Raghav said huskily. Kalpi hit Raghav in the chest “ Raghav behave yourself “ Kalpi said sternly, looking around to see anyone heard him, “ it’s the truth Kalpi……” Raghav said in determination. Kalpi looked at Raghav and shook her head with a smile.
Though out the whole night, the happy couple mix and mingled with the guest.
