I apologize in advanced for this being short. This is after Flower Kid makes Gillis happy and before making Randy happy. They're still in the habitat, before the big event.

Gillis walked over to the lounge entrance. He didn't exactly have to be there because Flowe Kid had his picture on the security camera so it looked like he was working. But still, Gerry kept looking at him funny and yelling nonsense like "YOU LOOKIN' AT MARTHA?!! YEAH, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT." Or "SCRAM, LUCHADOR! MARTHA IS MINE!!" And it made him feel awkward.

Besides, the lounge had a nice view of Gillis's favorite habitician, Rand- wait... Gillis looked at the stare well to see- no one there? That can't be right, Randy was almost always there.. well, he had started hanging around there for a while. Gillis tended to admire him from a far, but he couldn't if Randy wasn't there.

Gillis decided to go to the stairwell, to see if maybe Randy was there, but just out of view. He stepped into the room, looking around. Randy wasn't there... or so he had initially thought. There was a rift of silky black hair peeking from behind the staircase. Gillis stepped further into the stair room to see Randy laying down, eyes half open.

"Randy? What are you doing?"

"Gilliam! Why hello there, I'm laying down. Why are you here?" his voice was something of genuine interest, no malice intended.

"I was looking for you. I noticed you weren't at your usual spot, so I-"

"Looking for me, you say? My goodness, this is so unexpected! I mean, for all the habiticians to take notice in my absence, let alone want to get to the bottom of it! I'd never think you the type to take interest in me!" Randy sat up, smiling cheerily.

Gillis felt his face heat up a bit, Randy was so... so unapologetically himself. And his smile was certainly contagious, not to mention cute. "Well uh- through the door slot in the lounge, you're always in view so it'd be hard not to notice you."

Randy dramatically gasped, "You aren't wearing your mask!!"

"Huh? Oh, yeah.. I don't really need it."

"How exciting! I have no idea why you decided to wear that thing, it always covered up your face!"

"That was kind of the point"

"Whatever do you mean?"

"Well, my face isn't the most manly.."

"Oh, fooey. I don't see the point in upholding such nonsensical stereotypes, you don't have to be a macho man."

This made Gillis blush again. He pretended to be tough, mostly to hide his insecurities. He was very wholesome on the inside, but cute stuff is sometimes considered feminine and that certainly made him feel dysphoric. He felt understood, especially because Randy was also trans.

"I uh- well, I'm not... the uh- most mango person. Don't tell anyone I admitted that!"

"Your secret is safe with me, chum!" Randy stood up to admire Gillis's face. He wasn't even trying to hide it either. It made Gillis blush harder and mumble nervously. He found it quite odd Randy was being... forward? Well, forward in a good way. Like, he was almost taking initiative, totally throwing Gillis off guard. Randy was quite the shy person, but he was also eccentric and a bit flamboyant.
