It's Monday morning, school starts in an hour and I'm so ready to set off.

Nope, I'm not excited at all.

With Vivi, my mom drove me to school today for my first day in this new second home that I'll be studying at from now on.

We stopped over in front of one of the finest schools in Florida. Many students were already going in while I gazed out from the car's window. I'm actually getting nervous at this moment but then again, I'm still excited in some ways.

Before getting off the passenger's seat, I turned to my mom to say goodbye but then she looked quite worried, "Mom?"

"(Y/n), are you sure you don't want me to pick you up after school?"

Mom's voice was gentle as always. Her words just now sounded comparable to what was etched on her face.

"Yes mom, I'll just take the bus," I smiled, "Don't worry and trust me, it'll be good for me to learn my way back on my own. You know, just like the usual."

She's somehow convinced and she smiled faintly in return, "Call me right away if you needed anything."

And with that, I kissed to her goodbye and to the little brunette who wished me good luck for today.

Finally, I arrived at the classroom and stood by the door which was surprisingly very, very noisy behind it. I guess the teacher isn't here yet. Although, am I really in the right place? I took a quick scan again on my schedule— yes, this is the room.

I breathed in and out slowly... I can do this!

After I gathered enough courage, I reached for the knob and turned it. As soon as I pushed the door inwards, everyone quieted down and looked at my direction. I felt so uneasy; the courage I've build up earlier is depleting rapidly. I don't like being in this kind of situation. So even I may look stupid, I went inside and closed the door while just looking down on the floor the whole time.

I was suddenly surprised when a guy suddenly shouted, "False alarm guys! It's just a new girl."

And with that, the loud chatters just like before I came inside the classroom began again.

They must have thought I was the teacher, huh and... did they just really completely ignore me after that?! Wow.

Still, I was quite amazed how they can fully understand each other from all these deafening noise they make. It's like the whole room turned into a rock show venue or something.

Now, time for a dumb yet serious question: What should I do next?

I'm still awkwardly standing there and never even moved an inch!

They seem all busy minding businesses in their own world. But being a new student, I can try approaching them right? Simply walk over to them, talk and ask to become frien—nope, never mind! I can still clearly remember the very time I walked in this room, those piercing look in their eyes doesn't tell me I'm even welcome here. Plus, it's never been that simple and easy for me to do.

Come on (y/n), think!

The noise is getting really irritating now for me and it's starting to give me a headache. Probably that's why I couldn't think properly. Though there's one thing for sure that I really wanna do: leave this hell room.

Alright, that's it. I've decided that maybe it's better if I just wait outside for the teacher to come.

Maybe.

So, I did a quick turn and before I could even reach the knob, someone on the other side swung it open and the door smacked on my forehead! I groaned as my hand reluctantly reached for my forehead. Damn, that frickin' hurts!

"Pffff—"

I was still cussing when I looked up with my hand still rubbing the painful part when I saw a guy wearing a hoodie with messy bangs covering most his eyes, making me hard to identify his face. He's trying to hold its laughter too since his grin right now is making it all obvious.

"—AHAH. O-Ohh... s-sorry! Ahahahaha! AHAHAHAHA!"

Well, he blurted it out.

What a very nice way of apologizing by the way, really!

I know I'm glaring so hard at him like piercing daggers but it's like it didn't affected him a bit at all because he just turned his back on me and started walking towards his seat. Even though my blood was still boiling, I was also expecting a huge wave of laughter from my classmates because of my embarrassing stunt here but there was none. They're not even looking at me right now but to him.

I guess I'll thank him for that. If it weren't for that hilarious laugh of his, I am never gonna survive from the embarrassment. Ever!

Although, that laughter... why does it sound... familiar?
