We got to my grandparents house I got out the car opening nicki door while she was walking I slapped her ass hard. "August stop " she said while walking we got to the front door and I knocked on it I couldn't believe who opened the door it was the nigga that left me and my little sister When my mom died My punk ass father.
August POV
I can't explain my facial expression I was all types of emotions I just put on a straight ass face. My grandma came Right up behind him "Hey nicki I've missed you guys " grandma said
"we've misses you too " nicki said while giving her a hug. " Well come in "
my grandma said with a warming smile.
We walked in heading to the living room the whole time i was just staring at him i didn't know what to think.
"nicki help me in the kitchen while they talk " my grandma said "sure " nicki said with a smile then looked back at me. I'm sure she was confused and didn't have any idea who this man was.
"I really don't know high to start this conversation off but i wanted to tell you I'm truly sorry . I left because I needed to get myself together I Had to get off drugs and get my life back together and I know That's no excuse b- " I cut my dad off before he could finish.
"bullshit ...so you left a 17 year old boy with a 8 year old little girl at a time like that 2 day's after my mother died? left no letter saying why just nothing do you know how that made us feel Catherine cried every Night for her mother & father what the fuck was I supposed to say? Then we have to go live with our grandparents who don't work so how you think they could take care of us? Do you know what I had to do? I joined a gang and I'm so happy I did now I could take care of everybody I d-" he interrupted me.
"No son of mine is gonna be in that shit! "my father said yelling at me
" What other choice did u expect me to make at the time? I mean a job that pays u alot of money fast? and your not my fucking father I'm 19 now and I'm happy in life so I don't need you James" I said saying his real name.
I was mad asf and I needed to leave before I beat his ass.
Nicki POV
I was worried about August I wondered who that man was he was talking to because they looked just alike. I didn't bother to ask his grandmother he honestly looks like he could be his father but he couldn't be.
I was in the kitchen talking to August grandma when I heard yelling and August came threw the door
"we leaving nicki come on I'm sorry grandma I can't be here when he here " August said and gave his grandma a hug "but August y'all could just tal- " August interrupted his grandma
"He doesn't deserve by sympathy tell everybody I love talk and we could reschedule dinner but without him! "
I quickly hugged his grandma and whispered sorry. He grabbed my hand we were heading to that door when we saw his grandfather & his little sister Catherine walk threw the door. "brotherrrr" Catherine yelled jumping on August "Catherine I'm sorry but we leaving I'm gonna see you soon though okay? " he said putting her down "alright... " she said walking away looking disappointed. "bye pretty girl "
she said while waving to me I waved back with a smile. "I'm sorry grandpa I
just ca- "
"it's okay I understand completely " his grandfather said while giving him a hug then giving Me a smile then walking off.
He pulled me all the way to the car.
"August your hurting me!" I said yelling at him "just get in the fucking car "he said pushing me in. I didn't say nothing smart back because he seemed very mad and I wanted to know what about.
"August who was that? "I said kinda lowly. "my father " he said simply tightening his grip on the steering wheel. "are you okay baby? " I said rubbing his leg. "Yea I just didn't wanna see him " he said simply
"well maybe he wanted to start a relationship again maybe he changed?"
I said looking at him. "Fuck that nigga! can you just stop talking about it? "
he said yelling at Me. I stayed quite I understand he was upset so I just let him calm down.
The car ride was silent I glanced at him every couple of minutes. When we got home he didn't say anything he just started walking towards the basement.
"Bear? you not gonna sleep with me "
I said while looking at him .
"Nicki I'm really upset Right now I just want time to think I'm gonna come to bed in a little bit " he said while giving me a Peck on the lips. "Okayy" I said while walking upstairs to his room.
I put on my pajamas and got under the covers.Ima just let August calm down because I would be upset If I was in his situation. Closing my eyes I slowly drifted off to sleep.
