She didn't know why but staring at the moon made her relax. Her fingers begun drumming the handle of her sword as she hummed. "Isn't the moon lovely tonight?" She asked the demon on the ground, who was swollen and coughing up blood.

Tilting her head, she suddenly sense a familiar presence behind her so she just asked him instead. "Hey Tomioka-san, don't you think the moon is lovely tonight?" He didn't answered and she smiles at him.

'Such a Tomioka-san thing to do.' She hums, seeing the pillar walk away. Shaking her head, she only followed him. Then, she noticed him limping. She sighs in irritation and quickly caught the sleeves of his haori.

He blankly looked at her as she shook her head in disagreement. Shinobu knew that this stubborn pillar will refuse any medical treatment but when she's the one who's treating him—oh he can't refuse.

He just sighed, admitting defeat as he let her dragged him at a nearby tree. He sat on a rock as she removed his foot wear (A/N: I don't know what they are called." and inspected his swollen red ankle.

Suddenly she pushed a finger on a spot and he grimaced at the pain. She just kept doing that until he finally had enough, "Shouldn't you be treating me, not giving me more pain?" He raised a brow and hissed in pain when she added more pressure.

"Shut up! This will help reduce the swelling, you big oaf." She stated, as she inspect his foot. Before he could respond, Shinobu's hands were over his foot and base of her ankle, her thumbs and fingers pressing into his skin and making him tense and shudder from the outright pain she was causing with her brutal actions that were a mix between rubbing and stabbing.

Tomioka-san's mouth dropped open as he hissed in pain as she felt his hands move over her foot in a way that was far from pleasant, "Ow, ow! Kocho just stop, I could take care of myself! OW!"

Shinobu rolled his eyes at his loud protests, her already tight grip clamping down on him all the more as she continued running his fingers against his muscles and ligaments. She scoffed; although, she never see him made that expression before, 'When I always treated him, he was always quiet...this is new.'

"You big baby, this is intentional force to bring some of the inflammation down and restore proper blood flow back into your joints. It's not meant to feel great; it's meant to correct some of the damage before it continues to swell needlessly. For the most part your ankle is fine, but your body doesn't seem to think so, so we're being proactive and addressing the injury head on." He just frowned at her and she scoffed again. 'You're always such a baby.'

"So what happened?" She asked him and he looked away. He begun saying jibberish words, making her sigh. Finally he answers her, "I trip and fell down on the slope over there while trying to protect a hunter."

Shinobu gaped at him before laughing. 'Oh god, such a Tomioka-san thing to do.' She stopped and looks at him. "You're so uncool, to trip while saving the day even the hunter might think that was uncool—" She told him but he stops her sentence there. "I never said I wanted to be cool." He retorted and the expression he made while saying that made her look away.

"But you saved the hunter and I think that is cool." She said to him while her hand went back to fixing his ankle.

"For now just hush and you can thank me later." She stated flatly, not allowing his negative reaction to put her off as she continued to intentionally push her fingers into his skin and drive the muscles and ligaments properly, trying to break down the present water and building agitation that the fight and walking had placed on him.

After a few more moments of his muted protests and hissed of pain, she gave a nod and finally set his foot from off her and onto the ground, satisfied with her efforts but she knew how stubborn the Water Pillar is and it made her sigh.

"Alright, I'm done." After those words came out of her mouth, he quickly stood up but she stopped him by placing her small hand in his chest. "Wait a minute, walking might make it swollen more so you have to limp back with your good foot and have something to support you—" She heard him scoff as he stated, "Like you, Kocho. Although, you're to small to support me so I'll be fine by limping or walking."

Shinobu was taken a back with his words, veins popped out from her face as she tried to keep a restrain smile. "I never said I'll be your walking stick, To~mi~oka–san." She poke his right shoulder—really hard and he grunted in pain. "If you said you're fine; then, I'll be leaving now."

She turned her back to him and walked away. There was rustling, groaning and hissing—Shinobu hesitantly glance behind her but her stubborn side kept her moving until—"Kocho!" He fretted for a moment until he finally swallowed his pride, "...can you help me."

He finally gave in and she gave him a sly grin. "Can you repeat that again, Tomioka-san." She teased him but there was no reaction to him except a glare and she pouted at him.

Feeling generous, Shinobu helped him and both limped back to the nearest Wisteria House. She stiffled a laugh when she saw how awkward he is and how hunched he is. 'Well, sorry for being small...'

While they were walking, there was only silence and Shinobu—the talkative person she is—was dwelling on her own thoughts. Tomioka-san raised an eyebrow at her, he enjoyed the quietness between them but...it really bothers him.

"What are you thinking about, Kocho?" He asked, but raised an eyebrow in confusion when she look at him with shock. 'What's with that look?' Then, a smile replaces her shock look as she begun poking his arm. "Tomioka-san, starting a conversation first? Ain't that a surprise, maybe you should do that often so people would like you more."

'Okay, never mind.' He turned his head away but she begun talking. "Nothing much, just thinking about what our lives would be if there are no demons anymore." She confessed and Giyuu stared at her at the corner of his eyes.

"In the future, I'm sure of it. Will be living in piece in the future so rest assured because we will put the end to all demons so just wait." He was in disbelief because did he just said that. However, he was pulled out from his thoughts when he heard laughing next to him. He turned his head to look at her and he went rigid at what he saw. Her mask was down.

She wiped a tear from her finger as a genuine smile adorned her face. "Thanks, Tomioka-san." She chuckled making him looked away again. He didn't said anything back but she understood. Both walk side by side in a comfortable silence; although, the Water Pillar's mouth twitched up.
