Chapter One

DEANNA P.O.V

" Don't pick me up later kuya. " walang emosyon na sabi ko sa driver.

Tumango naman ito.

" Yes po Ma'am Deanna. " Sagot niya.

Lumabas naman ako at nag suot ng black mask at tinakpan ang ulo ko ng hoddie ng aking grey na jacket.

I watch as the car drive away before I went inside the campus.

Truly is, Ateneo is quiet big.

I'm just walking peacefully when someone put it's arm around my shoulders.

" The f*ck. " I cursed under my breath.

" I heard it Wong. " Sabi ng pamilyar na boses.

I take off her arms around my shoulders. Ang Bigat kaya.

She laugh softly.

" Hi there miss Deanna Wong. " Pagbibiro niya.

It's no other than ate Jho.

Tinanggal ko naman ang mask na suot ko.

" How did you know it's me? " Tanong ko.

" I know a lot about you Deans. "Sagot niya.

" Where is ate Bea? " Tanong ko.

She shrugged.

" Dunno. "

" Hi there b*tches. " I look at the person who catches our attention.

Ate Bea.

Lumapit siya saamin.

" Hi there Deanna sana magustuhan mo dito. " sabi niya.

" I hope so. "

Sagot ko. I don't care naman kung saan ako gusto ipasok ni dad na school.

" Actually, me miss you Deans it's been a Long time. " Sabi ni ate Jho.

I smiled a litte.

" I miss you too guys. " ate Jho and ate Bea are my closes friends mga bata palang kami.

" congrats mga ate sa pagkapasok niyo sa volleyball team. " Sabi ko.

They looked at each other before looking at me.

" uhm thanks I guess? " Sabi ni ate Jho.

It's been a year since nakapasok sila sa volleyball team pero gusto ko kasi sabihin ito nang personal. Ilang taon na kasi kami na hindi nagkikita since tumira ako sa Germany.

" Deans, Until now ba......hindi mo parin kaya? " Alanganin na tanong ni ate Bea.

Alam ko kung anong gusto niyang sabihin. Ang paglalaro ko ulit ng volleyball.

" Still no ate I'm sorry. " Nakayukong sabi ko. She patted my back.

" It's ok Deans take your time. " Sabi niya saakin.

I take off my hoodie kasi medyo mainit. I recieve gasp from the students around us which turns into gossips.

" Hey isn't it Deanna Wong? "

" That's her. "

" Omg is she playing again? That would be nice since dito niya napili mag-aral. "

" Sure ba kayo na maglalaro pa yan? Tsk. "

" Laos na siya, kung kailan kasi sikat dun nawala. "

" Hoy don't be rude. "

" Just telling the truth. "

Sinamaan naman sila ng tingin ni ate Jho kaya nagmamadali silang umalis papalayo.

I look down. Tatakpan ko sana ulit ng hoddie ang ulo ko pero pinigilan ako ni ate Bea.

" Don't hide yourself Deans. Let them say what they want to say don't mind them. " Sabi niya.

I smiled a little again.

" Thank you mga ate. " Sabi ko.

" Where not just your friend Deanna, Para na tayong magkakapatid tatlo kaya we will protect you as much as we can." sabi naman ni ate Jho.

I may not still ready to play again but alam ko dadating ang araw na makakaya ko rin ulit.

JEMA'S P.O.V

Naghihintay kami sa gym nina Jia and Aly na dumating si coach para sa meeting.

Hindi naman nagpapatawag ng meeting si coach kung hindi importante kaya nagtataka kami kung ano ang dahilan ng pag papatawag niya ng meeting.

" Ano kaya dahilan ng pagpapatawag ni coach ng meeting. " Nagtatakang sabi ni Jia at tsaka uminom ng tubig.

Tumingin naman sakanya si Aly.

" Ewan ko rin. Maybe it's very important. " Sagot niya at tumango naman ako.

Maya maya pa, dumating si coach na may seryosong mukha. As always.

" Hi coach." Sabay namin tatlo na bati.

Tumango naman si coach.

" Hi girls. "

" Anong paguusapan natin coach? " Tanong agad ni Aly.

" About sa setter natin. " Sagot ni coach.

Oo nga pala. We only have one setter and she's a rookie.

" Nabalitaan ko that Deanna Wong was studying here in Ateneo and I want to have here in the team. " I widened my eyes.

Deanna Wong? Yung mahusay na setter sa high school years sa pilipinas?

" Deanna Wong po coach? As in Deanna Wong?!! Nagbibiro po ba kayo? " Gulat na sabi ni Ate Aly.

" Yes you heard it right, kaya gusto ko siya makuha sa team help me convince her, do everything to make her agree, alam ko makakatulong siya sa team para makuha natin ulit ang championship sa atin. " Seryosong Sabi ni coach.

Nagtinginan kami nina Aly at Jia.

I cleared my throat.

" Coach, that would be impossible to happened. I remember before, she said na hindi na siya maglalaro ulit ever again sa mga interview. " Sabi ko.

" That's why you need to convince her. " Sabi niya.

Eager talaga si coach para makuha si Deanna. I can't blame coach Oliver. Mostly kasi nung mga volleyball team boys pa ang hinahawakan niya mag cha-champion sila.

" This is her sched, I manage to ask one of the proff to let them gave me her sched. " Dag dag pa ni coach at inabot iyon saakin.

Tinanggap ko naman ito.

The two just take pictures for copy.

" Girls I hope you would convice her. Kailangan talaga siya sa Team. " Sabi ulit ni coach.

We nodded.

" We'll do our best coach. " Sagot ni Jia.

" You can go now. " Sabi ni coach and we nodded.

I hope pumayah siya talaga.
