        "Merry Christmas, my adorable peapod!"

"Magnus, I will shove that Christmas tree up your-"

"Hey, boys, knock it off. I didn't come all the way here just for you to all argue," Catarina said, eyeing her two warlock friends a bit angrily. Magnus and Ragnor both sighed and muttered. Just then, Alec came into the living room carrying a bottle of wine.

"Magnus, this is all I could find. I didn't know if this is the wine you wanted, but I assumed so since you had about ten bottles of it," the Shadowhunter said, placing the bottle in the center of the coffee table.

"Thank you, Alexander. It's much appreciated," the cat-eyed warlock said before pulling his boyfriend down into his lap and giving his cheek a big wet and noisy kiss. Alec pushed at Magnus, and Ragnor groaned and looked away. "Aw, what's the matter, Ragnor? Jealous?"

"Of that? Ha! No way. I'll have you know that lately women have been all over me. In fact, the other day, I had f-" Just then, there was a buzz, cutting Ragnor off.

"That must be the others," Alec said, standing from where he was forced upon his boyfriend's lap and walking over to the door of the apartment and buzzing the guests up. When they arrived, Alec opened the door to reveal Jace, Isabelle, Simon, and Clary. Jace was holding a box filled with many colorfully wrapped boxes with ribbons and bows. Alec moved aside and gestured for the four of them to come inside.

Jace brought the box over to the colorful and twinkling Christmas tree and placed all the gifts underneath it while the other three shadowhunters made themselves at home and greeted everyone else before taking a seat wherever there was one available. Magnus offered them each a glass of wine as well.

"So, Samuel, how's the Nephilim life treating you?" Magnus asked, leaning against Alec, who had sat back down on the couch next to him, and sipped his wine.

"Erm.. My name's Simon, and it's going great, I guess. I mean, I'm not dead, and neither is anyone else, so... yeah, it's not too bad," Simon replied. He had gradually been remembering things of his past before what had happened with Asmodeus back in Edom, to which everyone was thankful for (well, Jace doesn't seem to really care, but he keeps that to himself for the most part), especially Clary and Isabelle.

"Lovely," Magnus said. "So! Are we all set to open presents?"

"Magnus, they just got here. Let them eat a bit more before pushing them to other things," Catarina said, picking up a small chunk of cheese from the tray on the table and popping it in her mouth.

"No, I think it's a great idea. C'mon, let's get to it!" Jace said, jumping up from his spot on the armrest of a chair, then going over to the tree and sitting down on on the floor. Everyone was a bit surprised by Jace's actions, but they all silently supposed it was because he really didn't want to be there longer than he had to.

"I'm with the kid," Ragnor said, taking a swig of his beer. "Who's the first present go to?" he asked. Jace grabbed a present from under the tree.

"Let's see," he said, looking at the tag. "Ah.... Oh... Chairman Meow..?" He looked up just in time to see the kitten pounce on the present. Magnus laughed as his pet tore the present open. A small toy mouse fell out and the Chairman immediately pounced on it and chewed on it.

"Catnip mouse," Simon said after laughing. "Yossarian loves them, so I figured Chairman Meow would, too," he said.

"Aw, thanks,Siegfried!" Magnus said with a wide smile. Jace shook his head slightly before grabbing another present.
