In my heart lies a door to a secret garden
Unceasingly crying out loud to be opened
I traced the string hanging 'round my neck
With shaking hands I clasped the tiny speck
My mind wavering, aspiring to foresee
The confusions and aftermath held by this key
I tugged the string and tore it aimlessly
My faith breaking as I threw it out to the sea
But then I saw Your face, Your eyes looking at me
You called my name and it sounded heavenly
I crashed to the ground, desperately running to You
But You taught me how to fly and follow through
How badly I wanted to plunge into the deep sea
To fight the killer waves, to find my key
But in Your strong hands, in Your palms concealed
The key to my garden You have revealed
My heart flying, singing a joyful song
Thought I lost it forever, You’ve had it all along
And this time I’m certain, this time I’ll open
The door to my screaming secret garden
