CHAPTER 2

FROM ENEMIES TO LOVERS

So i met Cydrick during the most anticipated college debate competition in our University..

Big deal sa school 'yung debate because we also won last year. So i went to school extra early to rehearse my lines using my index cards,

" *I was nervous but i knew that i was ready, i came prepared."

"I was going to win the debate dahil part 'yun ng final requirement naming one of my subjects."

Nagsalita na ang prof namin, at binanggit ang topic for the debate

The topic for the debate was " who is the better leader? "Men or Women?"

"Huhu thank god, i knew the topic by heart, it's time the world knew that women are the better leader!"

Pumunta na yung group naming sa stage kasi malapit na daw mag start, pero kulang ka din ng isang member 'yung kabilang team.

"Of all the days, ngayon pa talaga male-late?" Sambit ko.

The debate started even though they're incomplete, I started delivering my speech and the crowd cheered for every point i raised.

'Yung best friend ko, si Trisha nangingibabaw 'yung boses sa crowd cheering for my team.

"* I COULD ALREADY SMELL VICTORY! "

Then...

Bigla nalang may agsalita from the crowd, claiming that everything i said with be the reason why we will lose the debate and why men are better than us.

Naghiyawan 'yung mga lalaki sa room. Hinanap ko sa crowd kung sino 'yung nagsalita, then a man made his way to stage, smiling widely as if telling us that our time is up at sila na ang mananalo

"Yes, he was part of the other team, he didn't even bother explaining to the instructor why he's late, He just proceeded to refute our argument

"*My argument.

I was annoyed by the guy!!! Late na nga, mayabang pa! He's on fire delivering his piece and questioning the points that I raised a while ago, sa totoo lang medyo mawala ako sa focus kasi I can't read him.

I was taken aback by his guts and his arguments also made sense. But if everyone thought that the tables have turned, they're wrong.

" Hindi ako papatalo ng ganun ganun lang, and lalong-lalo nang hindi sakanya!"

But to be honest, I think he already won that day, Not the debate but my heart. Syempre hindi pa naman love, but he attracted me at first sight.

He came up to me after the debate and congratulated me.

"Men and women are complementary and should work together" Tugon sakin ni Cydrick.

If there was one thing he proved to me during that debate, it was that he wasn't just good-looking, he was also smart

He introduced himself as Cydrick Alvarez.
