Temari knocked on Shikamaru's door with a heavy sigh. She ended up spending the whole day yesterday avoiding Shikamaru and his stupid motivational quotes. However much to her dismay, she soon realised she stormed out of his house without her work when she left to go see Kakashi. Therefore she didn't get any work done at all yesterday.

However, she couldn't ignore the work and Shikamaru for another day, after all the Chunnin exams are not going to plan itself. Temari waited patiently for Shikamaru to open the door. She kind of hoped that Shikamaru was back to normal but the evidence suggested otherwise.

"Temari, good afternoon. You came much later than I expected you would." Shikamaru said with a smile as he opened the door for her.

"I left my work here. I had to come by sooner or later." Temari said with a shrug.

"Our work. Come in." Shikamaru said as he stepped aside so Temari could come in.

Temari walked into his house refraining herself from sighing again, she couldn't just keep sighing it was going to seem like there was something wrong with her. Temari looked around as she took her fan off her back. Everything seemed so normal. His apartment looked the same nothing seemed to be out of place. The sun was out and the birds where chirping, it was a lovely day in Konoha actually

Temari expected the work to be right where she left it but to her surprise, it was moved which meant Shikamaru either just threw it somewhere else or he did some work.

"Where are the documents?" Temari asked confused as she pointed at the table while she leaned her fan against the couch.

"I put it away." Shikamaru said closing the door not revealing the location of the documents.

"Are you going to tell me where it is?" Temari asked with a raised eyebrow as she turned to look at him.

He didn't have that bored look he usually had. He now had this calm expression, like nothing in the world could bother him. He looked kind of peaceful.

"No." Shikamaru said simply as he walked past her and sat on the couch while she looked at him with disbelief.

Is he really hiding her documents from her...

"Why the hell not?" Temari asked confused as she glared slightly at him.

"You just got here so why not relax? Don't underestimate the value of doing nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering." Shikamaru replied which made Temari sigh.

She couldn't help but sigh in frustration. She was wondering how long it was going to take before he quoted something motivational when she entered his home. However, she realised it would save her a lot of effort to just go along with it and not fight it. Not something Temari was keen on doing but she was not going to get anywhere if she was going to strangle Shikamaru.

"So you're just going to hide the documents from me and make me do nothing the whole day?" Temari asked as she leaned against the couch while looking at Shikamaru with crossed arms.

"Yes, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax." Shikamaru said calmly.

"Shikamaru the work isn't going to do itself, deadlines need to be met." Temari said with another sigh, she's pretty sure if she sighed again Shikamaru was going to pick up on how much she's sighing and say something motivational about that too.

How irritating.

"Actually I finished the first three sections yesterday which means we're now ahead of schedule if I'm not mistaken." Shikamaru said with a smirk, Temari didn't know his new calm motivational personality had some cockiness to it as well.
