Chapter 21 - We're Friends

Natsu's POV

Ugh, to quote one of my favorite cats, "I hate Mondays".
Mondays mean school and school means learning.
I look over to my side and see Luce there hugging my arm, I guess she slept down here with me again
She's been through a lot lately I think it best I leave her to sleep.

I get off the floor veeerrrryy carefully making sure she stays asleep, and mission accomplished quite successfully I may add.
I make my way downstairs to find Luce's mom making breakfast.
"Hey, Layla"
"Oh hi Natsu did u sleep well"
"Yea, Luce's still sleeping though"
"Okay"
"Hey, Luce has been through a lot lately, is it ok if she skips school today?"
"You truly are worried about her, aren't you?"
"Uh-huh"
"Okay sure, she can stay home today, but for now you eat"
She put a plate of scrambled eggs in front of me
"Thanks Layla, you're the best"
She just smiled

I went upstairs to get ready for school. Do I needa have a shower... Nah
I chucked on my clothes then I heard something. Luce's having nightmares again, she's shaking and everything.

"Hey, hey, calm down, everything's fine" I pulled her into a hug
"Natsu?"
"Yep its me... Your mom said you can stay home today so go on gets some rest"
"Huh? She said that?"
"Yea she did, now sleep"
She tried to say something else but ended up falling asleep.

I sighed. I hope her nightmares get better
She's barely getting any sleep now

^Time skip to break at school coz i lazy af^

"Hey Natsu!" Wendy called me
"Oh hey Wendy, what's up"
"I just came to see how Lucy's doing"
"Well she's doing fine, but her nightmares are getting worse"
"Oh I have something that can help with that"
She handed me some more pills
"Oh thanks, say how do you get all these pills and stuff"
"Shelia's elder sister is a doctor"
"Oh so you get then from her"
"Yep, sorry but I gotta go, keep me posted on Lucy"
"Yea I will, thanks by the way"
"No biggie, gotta go"

She ran off to the girls
Thats weird for once I'm not hungry
"Hey Flamebrain, ya gonna eat"
"Nah, I'm not hungry"
"Really? Now theres a true sign of the apocalypse"
I chuckled he's stupid but he's funny-ish

We both walked over to cafeteria when I heard a couple bitches talking
"Hey did u hear that Heartfilia girls house got burnt down"
"Ha good for her, thats what she gets for stealing all the boys in school"
"What? What do you mean?"
"Ya know, she's always surrounded by all the boys especially the basketball teams star player Natsu"
"Oh, what a slut now I'm glad her house got burnt down" they were whispering but I could still hear them

I punched the locker I was standing next to, making Gray and the two bitches look my way
I turned back facing them
"What did you just call my Luce?" I said under my breath
They both got scared and ran away from me
I wouldve ran after them if it wasn't for Ice Princess
"What!??" I pushed him out of my way
"Calm your ass down" He jumped back in my way
I realized that I was, how do you say, overreacting and I calmed down
"I'm calm, I'm calm"
"Ok, bro cmon let's go eat"
"I'm not hungry"
"I don't give two shits let's go eat"
"Nah bro, I'm algoods"
"Go and eat or I'm telling Erza"
"Aight aight I'm going"
Im not dying today
"Yea thats right"

I'm glad I got a frienemy like Gray, We hate eachother but we take care of each other
I might as well actually eat something
I started stuffing my face

"I see ur back to normal" gray chuckled
I stopped eating
"Hey gray"
"Oh shit, ur calling me by my name this can't be good" we laughed
"Nah forealz, I just wanna say thanks for having my back"

"Its algoods man, ur an asshole, but we're still family" he punched me

I swung at him
He ducked
I accidentally hit Laxus
And let's just say I spent the rest of the day at the nurses office
