Chapter 15 - Where Natsu Went

Natsu's POV

Usually Jellal would've came after me but I just wanted to be alone this time and he's probably passed out by now knowing how drunk he was.

I didnt even know where to go at this point and I didnt realize that I left my phone in my room til after I got out of the house so I just walked aimlessly along the road trying to clear my head

I kept walking til I came across Lucy's house the car was gone but the light to her room was still on so I fought with myself on wether I should check up on her or keep walking til I get to the park.
I was near Lucy's door and currently losing my argument to the self that wanted to go to Lucy.
I was about to knock on her door until I saw Lucy's room go dark as her light was turned off. I accepted my defeat and turned around then I heard the door open
"Oh Hey Natsu" Lucy said smiling
"Hey Luce, I thought you were still at the party" i said shyly
"Sure, That explains why you're at my door in the middle of the night"
"Hm, yea I guess that doesn't really make sense, huh?"
"Are you okay, you seem less chipper"
"I'm good"
"Hey do you to walk with me to the park... I still got your board"
"Sure I'm heading there already"

We began walking
"So why are you really out here in the middle of the night" she asked still skating
"I could ask you the same thing"
"Touchè" (once again is that the right "e")
"Jellal and I got into a fight"
"Look at you using the right wording, what was the fight about"
"It... It was... It was nothing"
"Doesn't sound like nothing"
"So where's Sting" I would talk about anything else but the argument
"Changing the subject I see, he's still at the party I came home early coz I was tired"
"And yet here you are skating to the park"
"Caught red handed😅.... actually I kinda wanted a little break from Sting tonight"
"Really... Why?"
"Like you said 'its nothing'"
"Using my own words against me"

We got to the park and Lucy jumped off the board then I saw something on the design so I asked to see it.
"Hey can see the skateboard for a second"
"Hm, sure it is yours after all"
"Thanks"
I studied the board then I saw that someone had drawn on it
"Did you draw these?"
"Oh crap, I forgot about that... Please don't get mad"
"Mad??? I'm not mad, these are cool... What are they?" I asked
"They're the 12 Zodiac Signs"
"Wow, they really pull the whole board together"
"I know right, its like a mix of me and you, the flames and dragon are you and the Zodiac signs are me... Cool right??"
"Yeah"

We sat down at the swings for a while and I realized
"So why are you skating to the park in the middle of night for anyways" i asked
"The stars" she replied
"Huh?"
"The stars... Ever since I was a little girl I had a thing for the stars and you cant really see them that much from my house but from here you can see them perfectly"
She looks so beautiful I can see the stars shimmering in her eyes I was lost in my thoughts I didnt notice she was tearing up
"Are you okay... Why are you crying?" I said not knowing what I should do
"I'm okay, *sniff* its just every time I *sniff*"
"Luce... Calm down... Its okay you don't need to say it if you don't want to"
"Thank you but I'm okay... Remember when I told you that my dad died"
"Yes, the first time I went to your house"
"Yea well every time I look up at the stars I can't help but think that maybe my dad was up there looking down on me, ya know"
"I understand how you feel"
"You do?"
"Since both my parents are gone, Jellal is my only family left and I can't help but feel that maybe our parents are up there looking down on us as well" I said hoping she didn't see a teardrop leaving my eye.
"Wow I didnt even think you were capable of crying" she giggled while crying herself
"What I'm not crying... Stop looking at me... Turn around" I said wiping my eyes
"Don't worry I think its cute" she smiled
Seeing her smile, I couldn't help but smile myself so I gave her my signature smile.

We were still sitting on the swings til I heard Luce hum something, I recognized the tuned so I joined in.
