Special Chapter 2- Evelyn's Dream

     "GET TO BED!!" Aly screamed from the living room. "It's midnight, we really should get to bed." Vanessa said. Vanessa and I were sitting on my bed, playing cards as always. Aly was in the living room reading manga or something, you never know what she's doing. "Fine." I sighed. Vanessa went to her bed and I stayed in mine. I laid down and turned the light off. "Good night, Evelyn." Vanessa said. "Good night." I replied. As my eyes closed, I drifted off to sleep.

"Ah!" I screamed. I woke up in a field of flowers. This is a dream I thought. I pinched myself and didn't feel anything. Yep, definitely a dream I thought. I sat for a few minutes and looked around until an old lady and a man of some species came up to me. The lady was wearing a queen-like dress and the man, on second thought, I don't even know exactly what he's wearing. "Why don't you come with us, you'll get bitten by spiders if you stay here." the lady said. She held out her hand. I took it and they led me to a small house. They served me tea and biscuits. Pretty elaborate for a dream I thought. I shifted around in my seat, feeling uncomfortable. "So." I said. "Who are you?"

"I'm Alios." the man said. The lady scolded him. "That is information we do not need to share with this girl!" she exclaimed. They got into an argument. I, letting them settle it on their own, looked at the pictures on the wall. There weren't any pictures of Alios, but instead a younger version of the woman with another man and a small child. I put traced my finger on the photo of the young girl. She looks a lot like Aly I thought. I made my way around the house looking at them. I came across one that was taken in front of the palace in Cina. Not only were the young girl and the girl there, but Vanessa and I were too. I turned around quickly and asked them, "What kind of connection do you have with Aly?!"

My voice was full of anger. I don't know why, but I felt like I had to protect Aly from these people. I mentally slapped myself. Aly can handle herself I thought. The lady and Alios stopped their argument. "Please sit down, we'll explain everything." the lady said. I sat back down in the uncomfortable seat. The lady and Alios sat down. "I am May." the lady started. "I am the former queen of Cina. You don't recognize me cause I've aged a lot, but yes, I am still the May you know. Alios is my friend, you could say. You see, we are Angelica's parents."

I tried to say something but Alios shook his head. "I know it's a bit shocking." May said. "Let me explain. As you know, Alios is not the king of Cina. That was an arranged marriage. I never really loved him. One day, I was out in the forest, and that was when I met Alios. Some things happened, and we ended up having Angelica. Now here's the important thing we must tell you. Coming up in about next month is an important event. Next month will have a Friday the 13th, but not just any one. The Day of Breaking will take place on that day."

I fake gasped. "What is that?" I asked. "May, we don't have much time in her dream!" Alios yelled. "Okay." May said. Her voice was now coming to me in parts. "Angelica." she said. "Cracks. Break. Must. Separate." That was it. I woke up from my dream. I was really scared about what was going to happen to Angelica. I didn't have much time, whatever it was. I got up from my bed and walked over to Vanessa's. "Can I sleep here tonight?" I asked. "Sure." Vanessa smiled. She was so kind and caring. I laid down and started to go to sleep. Vanessa wrapped her arms around me. "Whatever you're thinking about, it'll be alright." she said reassuringly. Gosh am I lucky to have her.
