Jerome's POV
I smile and get up when Mitch leaves, picking up the house and starting to make dinner, when Connor walks in with tears in his eyes. "Jerome. I-it's Mitch".
I drop what I'm doing and run over "what happened? Is he okay? Where is he Connor?"
"He was texting and driving. H-he wasn't paying attention and... and. A truck hit him. The doctors don't know if he'll make it. He's comatose right now and in the hospital but..." I don't let Connor finish talking, I just run and grab my car keys "we're going to see him. Right now."
