Chapter twenty two

One day, my family members started dying mysteriously one by one. Someone was killing them off just as it was happening with Nicholas. All my uncles died off my father was secretly happy about it though, but his joy ended when my elder brother and line to the throne Elija was killed. Back then, nobody suspected my uncle because he had gone to a long trip. We were in grave danger and Nicolas was very worried because he had become next in line to the throne. He was worried she had something to do with it so he went to talk to her. What scared him the most was the fact that she only laughed like a maniac instead of offering answers. He called my father and told him. That's when they discovered they had broke her and she had turned evil and was no longer that gentle creature they knew. She was now killing our family off. And it scared then because they had no idea how. They threatened to kill me like they usually did but she no longer cared for my safety. They thought allowing her to have me will help her snap out of it. But it didn't, she hated me now. This part of her hated me and wanted my entire family gone the other part of her that loved her mate wanted to spare him and live in peace but the evil part was stronger. She kept fluctuating from evil to good and was very unstable."i will rather kill you and your wretched family than  spare you. You are a disgrace of a mate. I swear to wipe out ever Thornton blood from the face of this earth including your slave uncle Michelson."  She sneered and hissed bitterly. Those are words I will never forget. And  then she began to laugh like a maniac that's when it occurred to my father that my uncle has been the one killing people. They tortured her to say where he was but she only laughed and hissed threats. She refused to break free from the dungeon she wanted to be there until every single one of us was dead. We finally set a trap and caught him. After decades of torture confessed an ancient library belonging to her and all her book of magic. He tried to take his own life numerous times claiming he betrayed his queen and deserved to die. We took some and read them trying to find a way to free my uncle but nothing in them was useful. Then we found a spell by which we can split a person into two. To Separate the supernatural from the human. However there was a price to pay and it varies from individual to individual. I wanted to do it so I can be with my mate again but I wasn't powerful enough. Back then, Nicolas was very powerful so he volunteered. After a couple of human, werewolve and witche sacrifices he succeeded but in the process he lost one third of his powers she however separated into three. The darkness and supernatural side of her was sealed away. Another side of her disappeared into thin air and the human side turned out to be a demon who poisoned my father and ran off.
" my bad that was me I figured since the human side of her disappeared I replace it with a look alike soccubus ." Sarah chimed in. Cutting him off. "Michealson has been no were to be found except for now you suddenly appeared with him." He concluded While he looked at me with suspicion. "surely your not suggesting am that side of her are you? You have known me your whole life "I said trying to clear the suspicion. But Daniels eyes were strained on someone or something behind us.
All of a sudden we heard a dark chuckle from behind. " what a touching story" the chuckle continued. " you forgot to tell the part where you knew she was in a dungeon all that time you even payed her regular visits" he said with a hint of bitterness and anger in his voice.  " you do not deserve her! You left her to rot in that dungeon while you were busy playing pretend not to know who she was to you." He snapped at Daniel. " I was just a kid I had no idea who she was besides I was under a spell!" He defended. " he was under a spell as well but that didn't stop him from feeling the bond the minute he stepped out no wonder she prefers him to you. She will always prefer him to you!" At this point, Daniel had already snapped and was lounging for him. Michealson stepped aside and Daniel went through the wall. " portals, seriously? Not bad but we kind of need out king back" Sarah said. He just looked at her and smiled. " Sarah my mate my love, don't you recognize me?" What the hell is he talking about?
" oh! I forgot different body" He said while gesturing to his physic " that bastard got what he deserved for sealing away my queen." He added. And that's when it hit me It was Michealson all along not Nicholas he killed of his family like the way he did years ago. I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice when he knocked out Sarah and was now heading towards me. He raised his hand to touché my head but I throw a fire ball at him  just in time. Unfortunately he disappeared and reappeared behind me before I could turn around it was too late. His hand touched my head and he did some incantations.
"Soon my queen we will be together. I promise you very soon." That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
