judge- we are just trying to understand the full story,

Julian- what is there that you dont understand. Nailea, lost her mind one night and decided to shoot me and my friends. she shot herself, which killed her and now we are here

Julian- I dont know why you have to put y/n onto the stand she is suffering from PTSD, because of it, no one should have to go through that, I watched my best friend bleed out next to me, we are only so fortunate for that. the doctors told us that he will never be the same, how do you think we feel about that, he will never experience everything that he wanted to do, its crazy that action of someone else can change his life forever, and you are having trouble getting that through your head.

NOW-

judge- I understand that this is a rough time, but im going to need you to say that without an attitude

Julian- you dont understand that is the thing though, you did see your friends get shot, you didn't live in that moment thinking that you might die or that you are going to watch your friends die out in front of you helpless because you were bleeding out. I dont wanna hear you say that you understand what I went through

judge- I think that you should take some time and rest

Julian- this is outrageous, I can't believe this right now. Im done with this bullshit. 

Julian got up and walked out of the courtroom. Julian went to the hospital where Magic was having his physical therapy and where y/n was, she was still being treated, the bullet hit her lung. I arrived at the hospital, I went to Derek's room first, he was checking out today. When I got there, a cover was over him and people started walking out, I heard

?- time of death 18:35

time of death. I ran in there, the doctors held me back from seeing if it was Derek.

doctor- im so sorry for your lost

Julian- he was fine earlier what happened

doctor- he had a blood clot that went unnoticed.

julian- I just stood there helpless, numb. Frozen not knowing what to do, how was I suppose to tell magic, how was I supposed to tell y/n, she will be so devastated. 

I just nodded and went to the bathroom, I collected myself, I looked in the mirror and wet my face trying to collect my thoughts and how I was supposed to tell them, they already lost a lot and I had to be the person that had to break the bad news, I looked at my self one more time before making my way to Magic, I saw him he was making so much progress. He was happy smiling the first time since the shooting.

It wasn't helping that the news was all over our story, I have to tell them before the news puts it everywhere.

Julian- magic, can I talk to you

magic- yea, he made his way over to me, it took him a while he was using a walker, he hasn't been able to walk by himself since the incident.

magic- what did you want to talk about

julian- I dont know how to say this, I said holding back the tears

Julian- Derek had a blood clot and the doctors did everything they could do to save him but they were too late, it wasn't undetected during tests. I dont know how I am supposed to tell y/n. 

Magic just broke down in tears, he let go of his walker only standing up for a second before he came tumbling down in my arms, I just watched him cry, I didnt even notice that I was crying with him

magic- I guess that I have to let you go so you can go tell y/n

julian- yea, do you want to come with, it might be nice to see you after we tell her

magic- yea that would be nice, 

Julian- plus this will help you with you physical therapy

*at y/n's room*

Julian- hey y/n, I said gloomily

y/n- hey Julian, oh hey magic, where is Derek? I thought that he was getting released today,

I looked over at Magic whos eyes were red

Julian- he passed away

y/n- what do you mean, she said confused

julian- he's dead, he passed away from a blood clot

y/n- that must be a mistake, there is no way, he was healthy. He wouldn't just die out of nowhere

Julian- they said that the blood clot went undetected during his test

y/n- he was doing just fine, she said finally breaking down, crying, but forcing her words out without her cries breaking up her words

I just went up and hugged her, Magic joined, at first y/n didnt hug back but she finally gave in.

y/n- what are we going to tell his parents

julian- we dont have to tell them anything, the doctors can do that

magic- they are going to blame me, im the one that told him to come along with us.

y/n- if its anyone fault, it is mine

julian- it isn't any of our faults, besides nailea's

They just nodded, i didnt know what to do but just cry, I felt so helpless, I didnt know what to do I just lost my best friend, I just wish that he was here with me to talk me through this situation.
