I had planned on sleeping in because the boys didn't have anything planned.
But sadly, I had a knock on my door at 8:00 AM.
"Toronto?" he asked, just like last night.
"Hmm?" I replied, not wanting to get out of bed.
"Can I come in?" He asked.
I walked to the door, whining all the way there and then all the way back to my bed. I dramatically dropped onto the bed.
"Someone's not a morning person." He laughed.
"Morning people aren't people." I groaned, shoving my face in the pillow.
He sat on the edge of my bed and looked around. He cleared his throat.
"So I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to go get breakfast at this really good cafe I heard about?" He asked, quietly.

"Yeah just give me- give me a few minutes to wake up." I said groggily, pushing myself out of bed and dragging my feet to the bathroom.

I walked out twenty minutes later, freshly showered and wrapped in a towel. I walked to my dresser and grabbed some clothes, completely forgetting Calum was right there. Thank God for towels.

I went straight back to the bathroom and pulled on a gray tank top, black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and gray converse.
I reached across the sink for the make up bag I'd brought with me from the bus. I applied some quickly and then pulled my half-dry hair into a messy bun.
I walked out and smiled at him. He said "Let's go, then."
I followed him out of the hotel and across the street. He was wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up and dark sunglasses with skinny jeans and black shoes. As I walked with him across the street, I noticed him squint even through his sunglasses. I watched the way he always looks so determined and interested even when there doesn't seem to be anything that's worth interest. Maybe that's why he's seemed interested in me.

We sat by the window of the cozy and warm cafe. I sipped my coffee while Calum ate his muffin. I enjoyed just sitting in silence. I also didn't have anything to say. There's this quote that I really love that says 'Open your mouth only of what you are about to say is more beautiful than silence.'
I decided my words wouldn't be good enough, so we just sat for a while. The sound of a ticking clock on the wall opposite of us carrying the conversation.
"So," Calum sighed, putting his cup of coffee down. "where did you grow up?"
I folded and unfolded my hands under the table. The question may not have been much, but a question like that adds a lot of pressure when someone is pretending to be somebody else.

"London." I smiled. That information shouldn't hurt.
"Nice place to live." he said, looking back out the window.
"Beautiful places hide ugly stories." I said quietly.
He focused his gaze back to me. I had dropped my eyes to my lap.
I took in a deep breath and started to stand up. "This was really nice of you." I smiled. "but I think I'm going to head back to the hotel."
I walked to the counter before he could stop me and paid for both of ours with money I'd saved that my mother had given me. It was more than I would've ever needed.
She was always looking out for me, even when I didn't know it.

After arriving back to my hotel room, I threw on some sweats and laid in front of the TV all day. I had ordered room service for lunch and dinner.
Ash came by my room around two to use my hair brush because "Michael took his to use it on the few hairs he has left"

The longer I laid in bed, the more I felt the need to run away or tell someone of my situation.

I waited once again until it was dark and then ran to the center of the hotel. I laid down on the cold moon shaped stones and stared up at the starry sky.
I wondered if my mother was watching me.
I don't think she would've liked me using someone else's lifestyle.

I heard the glass door open and close.
"I thought you might be here." Calum said, not moving an inch closer.

I turned to glance at him and gave him a small smile. Unspoken permission to move closer. I heard him beside me as he laid down on the stones with me, looking up at the stars and the moon.

"You're right about me. I have secrets but they're also burdens that I would never want to place upon anyone else's shoulders." I watched my breath in the cold air as I spoke.

"Toronto it's not like that." Calum said sternly. "I asked you about what's going on because I genuinely want to know if you're okay. Not many people capture my attention because they're too busy trying to show off that they become all the same. You did the opposite. You tried to hide yourself and disappear which is not the personality of a stylist. You're a mystery."

"I'm not though. Once you know my secrets you'll either hate me or feel pity for me. I don't want that." I sighed.

"I promise not to hate or pity you, no matter how awful or sad they may be." He smiled offering me his pinkie like one would do in grade school. I wrapped mine around his. He didn't take his eyes off of me.

"My mum died when I was young" I said softly, returning my eyes back up to the stars.

"Toronto I'm so sorry that must've been awful for you." he said sadly.

"No pity." I looked at him and winked. He gave a small laugh and sat up. I sat up with him. "I should probably get back to my room"

"Yeah I probably should as well." he smiled.

"Goodnight Calum." I yawned.

"Goodnight Tori." He smirked at his new nickname for me. I couldn't help but wince at the lie he still believed to be my name. Even worse, that I liked it more than my own when it came from his lips.
