Meeting Chaesoo

I woke up at 8AM in the morning as we plan to meet at 9AM today. After getting ready and took my tea in the morning, I went down to the lobby to meet Jisoo and Chaeng. They arrived 15 minutes later and Chaeng gave me a tight hug.

"I miss you Monkey!! It's been 4 years of no phone calls or video calls. You are the only person I know living in millennium but do not want to have video calls. Always by letters!" She playfully hit my shoulder and I laugh looking at her.

"I miss you too Chipmunk and you Jisoo. Let's go someone to eat! I'm hungry and maybe we can catch up!" Both of them nod at me and went to the nearest café for breakfast. Of course we don't go to Jennie's café as it is still close. Once there, we ordered our food and started talking and updating about our life for this past one year.

"So how is your life Lisa over in Thailand for this past 4 years?" Jisoo asked me wanting to know what I did.

"The usual Chichu, after I left Jennie's wedding. I cried all the way to Thailand. My auntie Jane took me to my parent's house and I start my life new over there. Nothing much but just much reading alone in the house and my auntie will cook for me every day and sent me food. Or else I will eat outside alone looking amused at lover birds everywhere. I found no one there and make no friends there. I prefer my serene quiet life in the house but I managed to finish more than 10 books written in Thai so that I can see it there. My last book was a hit by the name of JKLM" I shyly smile explaining my boring life to them.

"You can't be serious!! You're JKLM?? The book is so damn popular! I also remember Jennie crying reading the story!" Chaeng stop her words because suddenly I kept quiet when Jennie's name was mentioned and just shrug.

"Wait... JKLM... Jennie Kim Lalisa Manoban?! That's your writer's name?" Jisoo asked me excitedly and I nod smiling.

"The book has a second series because the first do not have a proper ending and that's why I was invited to work in Seoul for my second book because apparently the book was a hit here." I remember how I cried writing the chapters because every chapter are so special to me. It's my memories with Jennie. I can't decide what ending I want to have so I decided to just write that the main character will return one day to get a proper closure.

"Is it about you and Jennie?" Chaeng ask and I nod.

"But keep it a secret you know, I don't want people to know who the writer is. It's just a bitter memory I think I should write for people to read how beautiful the love is even though it is not a happy ending love." Both Chaeng and Jisoo nod understand my request.

"Don't you want to know about Jennie?" Jisoo asked again and I shake my head.

"That's okay Jisoo, I know she's happy with Kai right now. I just wanted to know how many kids she have right now?" Jisoo crook her eye brows trying to explain.

"She got one at the age of 4 years old. She is pregnant before the wedding actually. Kai was so happy when she told her and asked for her hand to be his wife but he is still an asshole" I stop Jisoo telling stories about Jennie because I don't want to remember all the happiness she got.

"So she got a kid already! She must be happy with Kai now. At least Kai can make her happy taking care of the kid with her. I wished her all the best in life. Maybe I will try to see her tomorrow?" Jisoo is struggling to tell me something but I just ignore it.

"But...." Chaeng tried to intervene and I cut her off.

"No buts Chaeng, let Jennie be happy. She must be angry at me leaving her without proper goodbye. I kind of scared of meeting her right now and hope everything will be okay with her. Now stop talking about Jennie hahaha" I gave them a sad smile and then laugh to ignore the sadness in my heart.

The three of us stop talking about Jennie and discuss about how Jisoo now is an owner of a game developer company. Chaeng is now mentoring couple of people on how to taste food correctly. I really miss them remembering our activity last time with Jennie. We talked and hang out around Seoul the whole day and had fun with them.

I came back to my apartment at 7PM when I still saw Ella in the café waving at me. I waved back at her and went in to my apartment to relax. Maybe tomorrow I will go to Jennie's café to see if she is still around or not. When I'm with Chaesoo, I didn't dare to ask about the café because I don't think I'm ready to hear. So I took my shower and pray I can meet Jennie tomorrow for a proper closure. We might not be as close as it is but I still want to be friends with her.

I don't remember when I fell asleep because my mind is busy thinking about Jennie.
