It's been three weeks since the car crash. Kyle was released from hospital after a week, but Annie still hasn't woken up yet. For the last three weeks, Tyler had been visiting at least three times a week and on the weekends to see Annie and sometimes Kyle would come with him. Everyone at school would ask Tyler and Kyle how Annie was, but nothing new.
It was nearing the 4th week of Annie being in a coma, and Tyler decided to visit Annie. This time Gabe went with him. Gabe and Tyler talked to Annie and each other about what's going on. They were talking about school and other things until Gabe asked Tyler a question:
" When are you going to break up with Cece?" -G
Shocked by the question, Tyler had no idea how to answer it.
" Um, I don't think I am, why."- T
" But why you don't even like her that." - G
" I like her."- T
" No, you don't, you're just dating her because you don't want to admit the truth." - G.
"Ok, then what's the truth?"- T.
" Are you seriously that dumb? It's so obvious." - G
" Yes, I am that dumb, tell me." - T
"Ok fine, it's so obvious you don't like Cece. You're only dating her, so no one finds out you're in love, Annie, and don't try to say it's not true because it is." - G.
" I already know that I am, but yes, I don't want to admit it because what if when Annie wakes up, and I tell her and then she doesn't feel the same, my feelings might ruin our friendship. Even though I kind of already told her." - T.
" What you told her when, what did she say?" - G
"Well, I told her the day of the car accident in the hospital." -T
"What and you didn't tell me." - G
" I only told Kyle, I need to break up with Cece, don't I. " -T
" Yep, you think." - G
" Ok, I will do, just not now, maybe tomorrow."
Even though Tyler and Gabe thought that they were alone, it turned out that Cece was outside listening in.
