Chapter 1

Umbrella

I was up early, kahit seven pa ang start ng first class ko. I fixed my bed and change in my workout clothes. I decided to run in the treadmill for about thirty minutes, while listening to music.

When I want to workout with more machines, I go to gym. Pero kung I want to jog or run lang, dito na lang since I find it weird to workout in front of a lot of people. I also don't have a strict exercise schedule, I just do it when I feel like doing it and when I have a spare time.

After my treadmill routine, I took a bath. After, I did my skincare. I just wore a white v-neck button-down short-sleeved shirt and a denim mom jeans, I paired it with a white sneakers. I comb my hair and let it down, para medyo matuyo muna.

I just put a tinted sunscreen on my face, and little bit of cheek tint for a pop of color. Because of my naturally pinkish lips, I just put a lip gloss. I only wear lipstick for special occasions because it's heavy.

Lumabas ako ng kuwarto ko para maghanda ng breakfast, I rarely eat heavy meal on breakfast. I just made a sandwich and iced americano in my tumbler so I can bring it. I sat down in the dining table. Ako lang naman mag isa, but I have a four-seater dining table in case I have a visitor coming, or my parents.

While finishing my sandwich I checked my phone and read some messages. When someone called, it's Chelsea.

"Kumakain pa ko." I said, alam ko na kaagad ang itatanong niya. We agreed to update each other whenever we're going to school or going home.

"I'm here na, pasok kana." she's always early, kasi minsan traffic kaya maaga siya umaalis just to make sure. But she's so early today.

"I'll just finish my food, bye" I said, and ended the call and drinked some water.

I just tied my hair in a half ponytail, kasi medyo basa pa. Kinuha ko ang bag ko sa kwarto, sa loob noon ay ang I.D ko at sinuot ko iyon. Kinuha ko na rin ang tumbler ko sa lamesa, para makalabas na ako. I just locked the door and put my keys in my tote bag. Kasi naman ang aga pa, masyadong nagmamadali si Chelsea, tss.

"Oh my gosh, ang init!" I said to myself, maaga pa, pero tirik na tirik na yung araw.

Sa pagmamadali ko, nakalimutan kong kuhanin yung payong ko na nakasabit sa likod ng pinto. Buti na lang talaga at malapit lang ang campus. My skin is actually sensitive, mabilis akong mamula pag masyadong mainit or masyadong malamig.

"Good morning po!" I greeted our campus security guard, sabay pakita ng I.D ko. He also smiled to me.

Hindi ko pala tinanong si Chelsea kanina kung nasaan siya, so I called her and she immediately answered my call. "San' ka?"

"Yeah, I was about to tell you earlier pero binabaan mo ako. Nasa cafeteria ako, eating breakfast." She said, medyo galit yung boses. Arte, I chuckled.

"Okay, I'm coming bye..."

I found her on our usual seat. I sat in front of her. She just stared at me while chewing her food and not saying any word.

"What?" I asked her.

"Nothing" she rolled her eyes.

"Why are being so grumpy?" I chuckled.

"I'm not, ba't kasi ang tagal mo. I don't have someone to talk to. Mukha akong tanga, wala pa ang mga blockmate ko kasi maaga pa. It's Friday so I expected a traffic but it didn't come." She ranted while scowling.

I bit my lips to stifle a smile. She's cute when grumpy. "Then you're being grumpy nga, maaga pa naman kasi talaga it's 6:08. Classes starts in 7:00"
