Immune To The Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 2

Dammit I think I have gone deaf. I look at her in the eye with confidence. She looks shocked, and wait is that fear. Damn right she should be scared! I almost went deaf because of her 'lovely' voice. Jessica's crew suddenly scurried off while Jessica herself paled at something behind me. Should I turn? Hell yeah I am. I want to see what has the all so mighty Jessica running to her Mummy. 

 I turn around and I see this young girl, what is she, like 13? Jessica recovered from her frozen state and wrapped her arm around me like we have been friends forever...? What?

Alright, let me get this straight. First Jessica is bullying me, then a new girl comes to school and scares her and then she pretends we are friends. What? I need clarification. SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS HAPPENING!?!

The girl is coming over, Jessica is slowly backing away. YES, YES be scared. What did I eat for breakfast? Oh yeah I had boring toast. Didn't I eat lollies on the way to school? GUMMY BEARS! That explains why I am so hypo. 

 'Oh hey Skylar, do you know my friend April here,’ Jessica says while does those weird hip bumps. 

 I just give her a weird look and look back away.

 The girl’s name is Skylar, that's such a cool name! Do her friends go ‘Hey Sky! What’s up?‘ and then say ‘The Sky’ ahahahahahahahaha. Why am I making conversations in my head?

 I laugh. I laughed out loud... oops.

 ‘Uh, hi,’ I say nervously. 

 Skylar just looks at me and smiles then turns back to Jessica with a blank look.

I wonder how they know each other.

'So how is my wonderful cousin today?’ Skylar says to Jessica and smiles creepily.

She has one of those country accents. Cool!

'Oh... uh I'm good just saving my friend here from bullying,’ Jessica says referring to me.

 How do you save someone from bullying if you are the bully? Like what is wrong with her?

 'Are you sure?’ Skylar pushes Jessica.

 'Uh yeah of cou-‘ Skylar cuts Jessica off.

 'Don't you dare lie or I will tell Jason!’ Skylar threatens.

 Aha she is going to tell her brother.

 'Okay fine I was bullying her happy?’ Jessica exclaims.

 'Uh could we go inside?' I ask shyly.

 ‘Be quiet, I’m not done with you!’ Jessica shouts.

 Geez anger management.

 ‘We will go in. Just one second,’ Skylar replies glaring at Jessica.

 At least Skylar is nice geez Jessica needs to calm her farms.

 ’I HATE YOU!’ I randomly scream at Jessica.

 She gives me a confused stare.

 'What is your problem nerd?' Jessica asks me.

 ‘You always tell me what to do, you act like you own me. You don’t own me! I am my own person I can do what I want!’ I say, venom spitting in my voice.

 Jessica looks at me with surprise, then smirks.

 ‘If you dare to try and control me or stop me from doing whatever I want to you believe me, there will be consequences. I will make up a rumour that will have the whole school talking about you for months.’ Jessica states with confidence. 

 ‘First up, I am stronger than you, you don’t know anything so don’t get into my business and second, a rumour? Seriously is that all you got. You will tell the school a silly rumour and expect them to believe you.’ I say with a bit of anger.

 ‘Okay then talk back to me and be your own person,’ Jessica says getting exited and laughs evily.

 I look at her confused but I realised she wanted to fight.

 'Come at me nerd, unless your scared.’

 I advance towards her confidently. She comes to punch me, she is to slow and not very strong. I pull back my fist to punch her, suddenly the alarm goes off. 

 'ZOMBIE' A random guys squeals. 

 Everyone runs off in different directions while I look around for the zombie. This is what I have trained for, may as well continue on a harmless zombie. 

 I watch everyone scramble off, why are they so scared if they know these zombies are harmless.

 Suddenly a group of people retreat from behind me running for their lives. The zombie must be there.

 I sprint off in that direction, the teachers are yelling at me to stop but I will not give up. 

 I see the zombie, it looks just as i remember. 

 I reach into my pocket to pull out my pocket knife. Before I get my hand into my pocket the zombie has an arrow through the head. I look around surprised, I then see Skylar holding a crossbow.

 ‘Your welcome!’ Skylar says and walks off.

 I stare in awe but I suddenly feel a pain in my chest and a voice in my head.

 I couldn't process what the voice said because I blacked out.
