"The Only Thing I Regret"

"Those trash from underground are really joining us?" Flagon hisses, his face clearly showing disagreement to Erwin's decisions. His arms were crossed while he stares at Levi who was entering the forest for battle training. "I really don't understand why Erwin was so persistent with them. And look at how he holds the swords. Not to mention how disrespectful he is."

"You're just jealous because he's more good-looking." you told him and he sends you an offended face making you laugh. "What? I'm stating facts here."

"Looks shouldn't be a basis of how good that midget is." he retorts, looking back at the boy who had just started. One of the scouts try to give him a surprise attack but he quickly avoids it and slices the decoy nape. You, Hange, Mike and Flagon blink in utter disbelief at how fast and skilled he was.

"W-Were they given formal training?" Hange asks in amazement and Flagon answers with a no making her squeal in excitement over how interesting it was.

"Looks like the midget's got a knack for being skilled." you snicker, glancing to Flagon and he glares at you. You chortle before looking back at Levi who proceeded to destroy more decoys with his fast attacks. "Damn, he's good."

After the daily training, you and the scouts head back to the bases to eat and rest. When dinner was finished, you decide to take a bath. Returning to your room, you saw Levi and his two friends talking outside. You couldn't hear what they were saying nor did you bother to listen. You continued to walk back to your room whilst drying your hair using a towel.

"Oi."

You turn around upon hearing a voice and saw Levi leaning against the wall. "Yes?"

"Were you eavesdropping?" he asks, looking at  you with that sharp expression in his eyes. You felt his gaze pierce your soul and you were lowkey terrified. He had the presence of a total monster despite him being only a few inches taller than you.

"On what?" you return his question with another. "Do I look like the type to gossip over things?"

"Yes." his straightforward reply makes you spit out a laugh. "What did you hear?"

"I heard nothing, believe me." you reply between your laughs but his sharp gaze didn't falter. "Levi, was it?"

"Yeah and you are?"

"Y/N." you reply with a grin. "Nice meeting a skilled man like you, Levi. You're quite an amusing fellow." you say before turning your back against him and proceeded to walk inside your room. Once you were inside, you sling your towel on your shoulders as you lean against the door, sighing before smiling. "Man, his stare was killing me."

"Ow! Ow! Okay, okay! You win!" Furlan cries out in pain when you strengthened your leg grip around his neck. You get off him and help him stand up. "I can't believe I lost to a girl."

"I told you, nobody can beat Y/N in hand to hand combat." Hange comments, placing her elbow on your shoulders since she was taller than you. "She's a master."

"I bet aniki can beat her, though." Isabel says confidently before turning to Levi who was silently drinking some tea by the tables. "Right, aniki?"
